It’s definitely one that works, just can hurt a little bit making that pinch with my bony fingers—shooting glove makes it easier. So I extend the thumb to hold the nocks down (the muscle and bone structure in my thumbs is messed up as I’ve grown ‘cause of my EDS—the first digit makes a 90 degree angle just making a thumbs-up) and the forefinger is already up over the odd feather. So for me it’s tricky to decide which to use. Have to keep testing I guess

Rapid target acquisition, instinctive shooting, and strength building.
Yesterday I shot about 100 arrows with the Nomad bow. My goal is to get to 500 in preparation for competitions. I'm starting close so I can focus on form and building the muscle needed to haul that bow back multiple times.
My technique of pushing my bow arm away as opposed to pulling the arrow and string towards me to draw helps with muscle fatigue and I'm able to release as soon as my arm is straight and I know I'm at full draw. I try to keep my eyes on the target to practice blind nocking (sometimes the nocks don't want to cooperate) and envision the target two inches away from my arrow tip.
I had a close grouping that made me nervous and diverted my aim. I ended up breaking an arrow from that group and got a new pen.
