Giving the Mindflayer a physical form was the worst thing they could have done to it and I will forever stand by this.
The mind flayer up until now has not had a physical body and that has been what makes it so interesting it has to fight through a host it ha to fight mentally.
They should have had the final fight be mental between Henry, El, Will and the Mindflayer while the others are fighting the DEMOCREATURES to weaken the hivemind!
And then they could have had a plot where they needed to find a way to cut Will of from the hivemind.
It also could have been cool if they killed of Vecna quickly then turned around and saw Will tweaking out ad then had to fight Will because he's like the new Vecna.
Anyway they fucked up by giving the mindflayer a body and just forgetting about Will's connection to the hive mind
