Level 1: I would join if my individual self became completely dissolved into one singular consciousness, there would no longer be any distinction between me and the hivemind.

Level 2: I would join only if I still retained some awareness of myself as an individual, even if all of my thoughts, feelings, and actions were formed by the overall hivemind.

Level 3: I would join only if I still retained some degree of control over myself, even if I was still at my core connected to the greater hivemind and influenced by it.

Level 4: I would join only if I still retained complete control over myself and actions, with the extent of the hivemind essentially being total sharing of the contents of assimilated minds but without the hivemind being able to exert control over individuals beyond that (we will assume the hivemind technology also gives individuals the ability to process that large of an amount of information)

Level 5: I would join only if I still retained complete control over myself and actions, and could choose what knowledge inside my mind I share with the general hivemind, but could not choose what knowledge I receive from the general hivemind. (I.e you can choose whether or not to send specific thoughts, emotions, or knowledge to everyone, but you will always receive the signals sent out by others)

Level 6: I would join only if I still retained complete control over myself and actions, and could choose what knowledge inside my mind I share with the general hivemind and specific members, but could not choose what knowledge I receive from the general hivemind and specific members. (I.e you can choose to send signals to everyone or just some people, but you will always receive signals sent to you)
