Hideous Destructor's Liberator Battle Rifle is accurate at long ranges, punches through armor effortlessly, shreds through demonic shields efficiently, and kills whatever was on the other side of either practically as an afterthought. It can even be mounted with an underbarrel grenade launcher. Aside from its length, heavy recoil, heavier recoil in its bullpup variant, and even heavier weight, it only has one flaw: it's chambered in 7.76 rounds in a world where the predominant assault rifle gun, the ZM66 Assault Rifle, uses proprietary 50-round sealed magazines of 4.26 caseless ammunition.
In other words, you *will not* find ammo for this gun. However, the Liberator has a built-in ammo re-casing device. Provided some brass from fired 7.76 rounds and a pile of 4.26 caseless rounds, the Liberator can, very slowly and loudly, produce up to seven recased rounds at one time.
So even if you're using the better gun, you'll need to strip every ZM66 you find for its ammo. Don't forget you'll also need to meticulously scoop up piles of empty brass cases into your pocket after every firefight. I sure hope you remember where you were standing when you panic-dumped a whole magazine.
This is one of the many practical jokes that HDest plays at your expense. There are only two assault rifles in the game, and this is the one that isn't an extended joke about ink cartridges for modern printers. Instead it's a joke about jumping through hoops to use the better but also obscure alternative to a mainstream product.
