Schizophrenic serial killers are not common!!! Most criminals are entirely sane and usually neurotypical!!! People with schizophrenia are way more likely to be victims of abuse than perpetrators of it. We are not inherently violent. A schizophrenic person who deals with persecutory symptoms are not an immediate sign of harmful behavior. Its actually a lot more realistic for schizophrenics to be in victim roles in media
