I grew up on Doom II, and after looking back at the game and starting to play through it myself, I thought about some of the reactions of civilians, or even some of my muses to the demons of Hell invading the Earth! Here are only some of the results! Remember these can be used for generic demons or monsters and don’t have to be exclusive to the hellspawn of this almost 30-year-old game. And as always, feel free to change words or pronouns around as necessary!

"I hear monsters!”

“What is that thing?!”

“There’s a monster flying in the sky!!”

“Is-is it a demon?!”

“That demon has a gun for an arm!!”

“The monsters are coming!!”

“Who knew being chased by demons would be so terrifying?!”

“We’re being hunted down by literal, breathing demons!! I’m not worried about my damn language!!”

“Is that a poison pond?”

“Ah yes, let’s run from the monsters by jumping down this canyon of the dead.”

“Look at us!! W-we’re dead meat!!”

“What in God’s name is that thing?! It looks like some sort of bubble brainy!!”

“Are we in Hell, or is this Hell on Earth?!”

“Oh my God, that’s a literal robo-demon!!”

“What did you do?! This-this has to be your fault, ___!”

“A portal to the underworld must have been opened somewhere, but where?!”

“Maybe if we can find and close the portal...That should stop the demons from coming through, but then we’re still stuck with them here!”

“Welp. We’re fucked.”

“This is literally hell on Earth!”
