more unsolicited swtor headcanons: Aloysiuss
Aly's dad was a Jedi. He was one of the ones that managed to balance the force and the life and the family thing, only when his partner/wife died he sorta went off the rails a bit because like his son, he relies on other people for balance and it's sort of a weakness in their mental makeup.Â
He prefers to be called Aly rather than Aloysius because he's a total dork about sounding too stuffy.Â
He takes on far more than he can handle a lot of the time and tries to act older than his age because he feels like someone has to be mature about things and it might as well be him.
He adores Sansya a lot, because she helped him when he was still a padawan and she was pretty much the first friend he made, even though she was literally like eleven years younger than him.Â
He doesn't really know how to communicate with his old Master; she's very by the book and Aly's more about bending the rules if the rules just aren't working.Â
He needs people to look after. He relies on other people for balance because he's so full of self-doubt (his father left and didn't love him anymore and he's awkward and wants nothing more than a family and he's not supposed to have one) that it gets very, very dangerous.
He fights with Vannish because he doesn't want to admit that he sort of finds that he needs the other man around sometimes.Â
He's overprotective of Sansya when it comes to personal relationships because he knows how old she is, but he doesn't understand exactly how Chiss work so he's trying to give her a normal life, or as much of one as she can have.
He /was/ forbidden from having a family by the Council after what happened to his father, but given that it's sort of stupidly damaging to him, they reconsider that further down the line. By that time, he's already hopelessly wrapped up in Vannish so the point is moot.Â
When he's older he will end up looking after all of the fat baby jedi and teaching them how to not suck at things.Â
He's wields two blades, and is actually a pretty fucking terrifying fighter when he's given the chance to be. He doesn't like hurting people but he won't back down from it.
He tries to suppress his emotions and what he is but he ends up having to turn them into a strength, because the alternative is far worse.
He ends up in isolation for a while because he's so far gone he's actively dangerous to the people around him. His Master comes back from whatever she's doing to give him a firm boot up the backside.
