“Aww, look at the wittle Fushiguro~” Nobara taunted out loud, nudging a grumpy Megumi with her elbow, who grumbled in response.

Currently, the trio, plus gojo, are sitting around and looking at the secret photo album Gojo apparently had on hand. He seems to enjoy making Megumi's life as miserable as possible.

“You can stop showing them now.” Megumi deadpanned, but it was like speaking into a brick wall. “But Megumi~! Look how cute you were!” Gojo exclaimed, pointing to a picture of Megumi's first day in 5th grade. The two idiots started giggling immediately over the image. “Hah! Look how small you used to be, Fushiguro!” Yuji chuckled, grinning as the two freshmen scan over the pictures pasted on the book.

“I did not consent to this. put it away, now." Megumi complained, knowing he'll never hear the end of this again. “Ah, ah, Megumi. Still so feisty~! At least you were cute as a kid..” Satoru let out a dramatic sigh. The student and teacher started bickering immediately.

Though that paused shortly after.

“Hey, Gojo-sensei?” Yuji called out, pulling Satoru out from the immature argument. “Yes?” he answered innocently with a Megumi glaring daggers into him. Nobara and Yuji stared at the tear stained picture in curiosity.

“Uhm, who is this kid?” the pink haired boy finished.

There was a heavy silence that hung in the air, covering everything like a blanket. Tension so thick, you could feel it. Megumi went dead cold, seeming to know who they were talking about. Wordlessly, Satoru reached over and grabbed the book from the duo's hands. He stared at the image, unable to detect what was glazed over the white haired man's expression.

“.. Hello? Earth to Fushiguro and Gojo-sensei?” Nobara called out, waving her hand side to side to gain their attention.

The image wasn’t much. It was just a normal group picture with Satoru, Megumi, and an unknown blue haired kid with quite the revolting hair style. The blue haired kid had a nasty criss-crossed scar on his face, origins unknown. He had a nice big smile, but you can tell he’s nervous about something. Satoru seemed younger, happier even. Megumi though.. he was smiling.

A small genuine smile. He looked so positive, it felt unreal.

After another beat of silence, Satoru barked a laugh. “Well, I thought I had taken this one out.” He pulled down his blindfold to look at the tear-stained picture. Nobara and Yuji looked at each other and back to the two. “So, who is that kid? And was Megumi smiling? Disturbing..” Nobara interrogated with a curious Yuji nodding along. "It's not like I'm depressed or something.." Megumi grumbled under his breath.

Satoru smiled at the picture once more. “I’m sure Megumi can tell you guys.” was all he said before closing the book and setting it aside. He turned over to the ravennet and eyed him over. Megumi seemed to be in his own mind, the image setting him off a bit. “You okay Fushiguro?” Yuji asked, worried. The sound of Yuji’s voice brought him back to the present.

“Uhm, yeah. ‘m sorry.” The black haired kid shifted, a bit on edge. The two other freshmen watched him expectantly, waiting for an explanation.

Satoru glanced at Megumi, you okay? his expression read. Megumi hesitantly nodded, swallowing some spit. After another pause of silence, the ravennet started.

“He was a good.. great friend of mine. His name was Chihara, Akemi Chihara.” Megumi explained, staring at the floor.

“He died a few years back.”

A beat.

“I miss him.”

A hic.

A sob.

It wasn’t from Megumi. It wasn’t from anyone in the room. Infact, nowhere near the room.

It wasn’t even audible.

It's dark, cold, and empty. There the suspect laid, holding himself while in himself.

Akemi just wants to go home, with Megumi and Gojo-sensei. He's scared about what will happen next.

will i make a fanfic? probably not, im scared abt mischaracterizing the main characters here.. sigh.. will i give context? later lol ill post this stuff bit by bit
