I genuinely donât understand why the AOS writers want to reset everything back to season one in the framework. Whatâs the point in any of this? Its doing nothing to progress the actually story as far as I can tell.
I couldnât care less about Wardâs hero arc (which seems to be what this is mostly in aid of) Iâm disappointed by it, in fact, he was much better as a full blown baddie. I have no need to see Daisy forgive him or whatever is going to happen to please âSkyewardâ stans.
They have effectively killed off Fitz to do this as well. Basically with only 6 episodes left (probably ever) they have decided to break up FitzSimmons and write out one of the showâs most loved characters. Yeah, yeah its fun to see the nicest guy ever switch roles to the big bad bla bla bla. But honestly its also just a kick in the face to those of us who have stuck with AOS because they are invested in his character and in FitzSimmons. How is this a reward for fans? How is it rewarding us to see Fitz violated this way by AIDA and to see Jemma lose him? Am I missing something?
Not to mention what they have done to May. I have a seriously hard time believing that May could ever go along with what Hydra is doing when the incident with the inhuman girl happened well into her adulthood. Its a little more viable that Fitz is so different since whatever happened probably occured in childhood when he was still developing, but I donât buy this at all for May.
The only positive here is that BJ is back, and possibly Nick and Adrianne too. But, again, iâd preferred to see Huntingbird back in the actual series.
I just donât see the point in this arc. I want to watch SHIELD not make believe land.
