I managed to sneak not one but two Medieval Mugs into this batch (they were originally supposed to be Lascaux mugs, but I was in the final stressed days of finishing the glazing & needed a silly & colourful break!!)!
Much like the Flicker BirdLady I posted last, these might be my best Medieval pieces yet - the colours fired up SO well and I especially love the proud-of-their-fish FishMonk <3
(& again, yep, these two mugs are in the shop update December 2nd! See a couple posts back for more info!)
Little bird enjoying summer
Getting glazed pottery out of the kiln is always a bit nerve wracking to me. Because a lot of the time I’ve spent a long time on a piece, with sculptural elements and little details, and there’s always a chance the glaze just...won’t work. But sometimes something comes out of the kiln looking exactly like I wanted. This tea set is one of those times.
