New Vinland Saga chapter out! I love the anime
Hey :) Yeah, me too! I think the anime so far is great. :)) I was surprised that they decided on starting by the flashback, but it’s a logical choice and I’m definitely not complaining, haha!
However, it looks like we’ll get 24 episodes dedicated to the Prologue only, seeing the anime’s pace so far. The Ketil farm arc won’t be turned into an anime cour yet. That being said, it means the anime will end on a massive cliffhanger and that’s the best way to get fans hooked on the manga, so again, no complaining. :))
As for the newest chapter, more of Siggy is always good! :3 I’m also so very happy that Hallgerd is back, because her introduction didn’t exactly flatter her…
However, this chapter added a lot to her character and I’m enjoying this very much:
…and devoted woman she is and it’s obvious that she loves Siggy with all her heart, so I hope Halfdan will agree to let them go. :))
Honestly, I couldn’t love those chapters more for what they’re giving us. When it turned out that Gudrid confessed and that Sigurd left her behind, I was almost fearing that Sigurd would be alone (his friends aside) in having to make the decision to confront his father.Â
I had forgotten about Hallgerd (I didn’t think she’d be relevant, because the introduction depicted her as a mean character), but I’m glad that she’s still on his side because she loves who he is and not the fact that he is “Halfdan’s son”. #character-development for all of them and there is only Halfdan left. :))
I’m positive he won’t hold it against his son 5ever for wanting to go on with his life though (especially since he expected Sigurd to try to leave again)…
but then again, it makes sense that he keeps on clinging to him until Sigurd proves to him that it’s no whim of his.Â
I’m also very glad that Gudrid actually inspired Sigurd and that he went as far as to admit it, after the many adventures he went through because of her. It’s about time someone recognized that Gudrid’s current life style suits her much better than becoming a proper wife (only suitable for cooking, sewing and having children).Â
More than anything though, I absolutely love the fact that VS took its time introducing girls in the story (Ylva and Helga aside, we had none until Arnheid in the Ketil farm arc) but all of them are super strong in their own way. Thorfinn’s crew has Gudrid and Hild, so I’m happy Sigurd’s got an oustanding woman on his side as well.Â
Thanks for passing by Anon and have a nice day!
