I'd love to know some random ideas you might have for an AU where VS characters were in the Chainsaw Man universe. Who would be a Devil Hunter? Who would be a Devil? Who would be a hybrid like Denji? What type of fear would they represent? Etc.

For example, if I were to throw out an idea... I would imagine Brodd would be a fiend after a Devil took over his dead body. Maybe he would be the Rat Devil with his original Devil form being inspired by the "rat king" phenomenon seen in nature sometimes.

(Is it clear I thought a bit too much in-depth about this before OOPS)

This is such a fun idea! For some reason this idea has somehow never crossed my mind but it is so fun! I will of course do Olmar and Brodd first but after that will sprinkle in a few other characters! I really hope you like these head cannons!

Olmar is a hunter with a contract!!

🧶Olmar after being pressured by his brother Thorgil would become a devil hunter, at first he was on board with the idea but then he realized how dangerous it really was 🧶

🧶 Olmar would end up making a contract with the conflict Devil 🧶

🧶 The conflict Devil would be a devil that obviously is made by the fear of peoples actions causeing conflict upon them 🧶

🧶 Olmar in this contract would end up losing his control of his hands, his hands won’t always be under control by the conflict Devil but could take control if Olmar was surrounded by any type of conflict 🧶

🧶 This would make Olmar a walking trouble magnet and causing trouble or conflict even when he is trying to help someone 🧶

🧶 Now Olmars Contract With the conflict devil would eventually be broken, and this would actually be by Thorfinn 🧶

🧶 Thorfinn would have a contract with the eraser devil similar to Pochita but the easer devil is only able to erase contracts between Devils and anyone with a contract 🧶

🧶 In this Au this would be the way that Thorfinn would inspire people to be better and live Peacefully and after Olmar’s contract is erased he would run from the devil hunters to try and find peace and happiness 🧶

Brodd As the Rat King

🐀 Brodd’s abilities as the Rat King would be like you said very inspired by the Rat King phenomenon and myths 🐀

🐀 The real Rat King phenomenon is very tragic and upsetting, so Brodd’s abilities would be to cause tragic events in others life’s 🐀

🐀 Like if Brodd and Olmar were to interact with both of their abilities, Brodd’s presence near him would cause him to fail doing most things 🐀

🐀 Although Olmar’s abilities although out of his control would cause for Brodd to repetitively loose fights and cause him to become injured. They would cause conflict because it would irritate the people around Brodd 🐀 

🐀 Brodd can choose who he wants to effect with his abilities so if he didn’t want to effect someone he wouldn’t have to 🐀

🐀 The reason people are scared of the Rat King Phenomenon is because it is gross and unsettling as well as it makes you not able to control yourself and have to move in a group 🐀

🐀 This means that Brodd would also have the ability to control peoples actions and emotions in a group 🐀

🐀 The more and more the fear of not being in control of yourself is spread the stronger Brodd’s abilities would become 🐀

🐀 Brodd would roam around in the shadows and the muddy waters until he would find the next person he would want to control 🐀

Other character’s Abilities 

🌾 Thorfinn would be a Devil Hunter that had his ability passed onto him, after his father Thors was killed Thorfinn would gain his ability that being eraser. Thorfinn would originally use his power to take people’s abilities even if they don’t want him to. After Askeladd’s death he would realize how wrongly he was using his powers. He then decided to use his powers to eraser the contracts of anyone who doesn’t want one 🌾

🦉 Askeladd would be very similar to kishibe, being a mentor like role to Thorfinn and Canute and teaching them to effectively use their abilities. He would also teach them it’s not all about the battle aspects of it. It’s actually more about the psychological aspects of it and trying to get into your opponents mind. Askeladd would have a weapon though, he would have the ‘ Gash of Spite’ this sword when used releases a gash that is equivalent to Askeladd distain towards that person or thing 🦉

🐻‍❄️ Canute would be a devil and his devil would be the Terror devil, Canute at first can’t control when he transforms and only does when he has a emotional breakdown, a panic attack or is just overwhelmed with a anxious type emotion. Canute ends up going having a breakdown in Devil form and this causes him release all of his emotions as a Devil making him destroy the atmosphere around him 🐻‍❄️

🐻 Bjorn would be the Berserker devil, this would be very similar to Bjorn just taking Berserker Mushrooms. The only difference is that Bjorn could stay in this form for longer and have more control over it 🐻
