Anyways a lil rant abt haihiro/haikane + ryuukane,, I think that haizaki has (or had) a crush both hiroto and akane but only recognises his feelings for Akane because like internalised homophpboa and also he gaslights himself to hate hiroto or smth idk,, so at one point he confesses to akane, sadly she rejects 💔 i imagine she would have HAD a crush on him but idk she just changed her mind and only wanna be friends and stuff??? So then like she says she actually has a crush on ryuusuke (my oc who is basically hirotos best friend kinda)

Then with akane rejecting him he kinda like spirals into thinking about hiroto 24/7 and he just uhm malfunctions and shit idk 😭 then he FINALLY comes to terms with the fact that he likes hiroto (with mizukamiya and akanes help ofc) and then akane and haizaki make a plan kinda to go on a double date with ryuu and hiroto and ask them out at the same time and stuff uhhh idk what else I can write before delving into fanfiction territory 💔💔 actually

answering this for kira hiroto even though i still dont know him because i havent watched areori entirely... i have seen clips though.

these two are one of my two big motivations in finishing the show because every clip i have seen of them are interesting. their dynamic, their expressions, the way they bounce off the other characters. i genuinely want to know what's wrong with them /pos. i think I would love them very much after knowing them more and i even enjoy them as a ship

that is all to say that unlike my other headcanons, the ones i have for them are based on vibes alone. here's some hirohai date hcs (im sorry if theyre terrible, i'll update it after finishing areori):

the most intense game of lazer tag - they killed defeated all the other players first before trying to kill each other (they were also comparing their kills)

staring at the ground in the park because they were banned in the aquarium they were in after exactly 30 minutes of being inside there

intimidated their way into a fancy restaurant (paid by the card hiroto stole from his dad's wallet)
