Matsukaze Tenma: transmasc/demi-boy (he/they)

he already has to fight his way in to be accepted in Raimon, now imagine if he's technically not even allowed on the team in the first place bc girls sexism yada yada. also that explains why he never joined any teams in the past, they just didnt want him in (you cannot convince me this boy has been obsessed with football since he was 3yo and still cant pass the ball properly by the time he gets into Raimon, especially when his relatives are Aki, Kogure and Tsunami)

Tsurugi Kyouka: transfem (she/her)

i mean... do i even need to repeat myself at this point? i made a whole post about her, go read it for further explanation

Shindou Takemi: non-binary (they/them)

credits to @takemi-believer for giving me the idea on this one. there's just something very wrong with Shindou, child of a rich family and captain of the most famous team in the country, being cisgender when everyone around them is pushing them into a "typically" masculine role. they deserve to find their own path and explore themself beyond what others see in them. also gryphon trio each being a different flavour of gender yay

Kirino Ranmaru: genderfluid (fae/faer)

tbh im not really big on any Kirino headcanon for the simple reason that, whatever people headcanon faer as, we can all agree that Kirino is very gender. i feel like genderfluid suits faer, and it could add to faer insecurities of struggling to find faer identity, whether on the team or about faerself

Kariya Masaki: genderfluid (xe/xem)

credits to @luvendrawingonthemoon for this one. chaos gremlin confuses everyone by changing gender every other day. also the idea of Kirino and Kariya being a power genderfluid couple is very appealing to me

Yamana Akamune: transmasc (he/him)

i made a post about him a while ago but it's a bit outdated regarding what i want to do with him so i'll quickly summarise it: Akamune's obsession for Shindou was actually gender envy. he convinced himself he had to be the sterotype of the kind and shy girl because he was scared of other's gazes. but when Shindou actually came out as non-binary, Akamune felt completely lost about his own identity. it's only when he's told that he doesn't have to rely on someone else to exist that he dares to come out in front of Raimon, and to allow himself to express his true identity

Kurama Norihito: transmasc (he/him)

he's the incarnation of transmasc rage. yes that's my only explanation

Kageyama Hikaru: agender (any prn)

okay i'll admit this one is pure vibes but i swear it makes sense. Hikaru just wants to be seen as themself and not put into the box of "Kageyama's niephew"

Mitsuyoshi Yozakura: transfem (she/her)

chaotic gremlin who is tired of following Fifth Sector's orders and just wants to have her own fun. yeah this one is also pure vibes and i dont care

Yukimura Hyouga: non-binary (they/them)

vibe as well. i also headcanon them as aromantic, they just arent doing any of that shit

Kurosaki Makoto: genderqueer (fae/faer)

someone whose role model is Gouenji cannot be cisgender. yes that's my argument

Senguuji Yamato: transmasc (he/him)

credits to @ryuusei-boi for this one. imagine the tragedy of his father accepting him only because it's convenient, since girls aren't allowed in the holy road. i hate Senguuji Daigo and i need him to be an even worse dad than he is in canon

Hakuryuu: intersex (he/they)

this one is very recent. the idea is that he was forced into the afab role (i'll leave it up to reader's discretion to imagine what he could have gone through as a child to fit the female criteria). when he grows into a teenager, he decides to transition into a boy out of pure contradiction. it's still better than being a girl, but he traps himself into toxic masculine ideals in the process (that align with his desire to be the strongest on god eden). it's only after he's defeated by Raimon that he learns to explore himself in a healthier way, which is why i don't think he'd settle for a specific gender identity

Giris/Gaia: transfem (she/her)

also credits to @luvendrawingonthemoon for this one as well. Meia and Gaia just have the vibe of a lesbian couple, so we agreed that they were straight "for now"

Tetsukado Shin: transmasc (he/him)

just from the way he's always going on about being a "real man". his masculine ideals being somewhat toxic come from the fact that he's scared of not being "transmasc enough", so he tries to detach himself from every possible "feminine" trait he could have

Mizukawa Minori: non-binary (they/them)

imagine being possessed by an alien. imagine having a gender crisis after the alien left your body, but being terrified of exploring your identity bc you think it's just some part of the alien still stuck within your head. i hate Potomuri and i will never forgive him for what he's done to Minori

Phoebe Quasar: transfem (she/her)

for those wondering, it's Ixal's goalkeeper. the reasoning for this one is pretty funny: she's the one playing the Tsurufake role in my AU, and by impersonating Kyouka, she starts questioning her own identity

thank you for listening to my silly headcanons. i love each of them very dearly, so much so that for some of them (namely Kyouka) it's so hard to deal with the fact that it's actually not canon and that people are not gonna use she/her for her. i may be too autistic about all of this.
