Note: Ten favorite monsters, part three. Part two. Despite what I say about Disney’s Bronze Age, it wasn’t a bad era at all. Well, probably. I haven’t seen The Black Cauldron, The Fox and the Hound, or Oliver & Company yet.

1. Broom Dog from Alice in Wonderland 

One of my favorite movies and adaptations of one of my favorite books. It has unique designs based on unique designs.

Film original Broom Dog should be domestic, but he lives in the Tulgey Wood and is a fuzzy little nuisance. Yes, he is.

2. Yeerks from Animorphs

Mind controlling brain parasites aren’t unique to Animorphs. But Yeerks are highly sapient, with an intricate history and culture. Also, they made me realize my infestation kink on the cusp of puberty. ._.

3. Baba Yaga’s house from Arthur

She lived in a mobile home before it was cool. There are myriad depictions of her hut, but this is the first one I saw.

4. Monster Book of Monsters from Harry Potter

Just another reason Professor Hagrid should’ve been head of Gryffindor. He assigns fun textbooks and/or monsters.

5. Der Klown from Krampus

This version of Krampus has a collection of cool minions, which includes a flying heckdoll. But his most interesting toy is a serpentine jack-in-the-box. I have so many questions about Der Klown’s anatomy, but that’s what headcanons are for.

6. Exo-Skin from My Life As a Teenage Robot

Essentially a Raggedy Ann symbiote.

7. Clark from One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish

I never thought he was scary. :(

8. Hadras from Pirates of the Caribbean

All Flying Dutchman members have amazing designs based on non-mammal marine life. At first I considered placing Davy Jones on this list. But cephalopod-headed characters are more common than conch shell-headed ones. Also, Hadras’s head has crab legs!

9. the Greedy from Raggedy Ann & Andy: A Musical Adventure

If we were going by Disney critics, we’d say the ‘70s are part of the Bronze Age of Animation.

But this film isn’t Disney. The Greedy’s sequence is so fluidly animated…! A colorful assortment of sweets being gobbled on a black background as a metaphor for gluttony. Even better is that the Greedy is self-cannibalizing. 

10. Cironielian Chrysalis Eater from Teen Titans

Her true form is actually less unnerving to me because it doesn’t have buggy eyes. (And I’m not too afraid of spiders or mantises.) 

Note: Would you rather be barnacle-encrusted or ooze candy? Is Gloppy the Greedy’s cousin? Am I not an Animorphs character because I would try to date a Controller? These are the questions we must ask ourselves. Or not. No skin off my ass.

Morna Lovaline---6.  Does your oc have a family of origin? How many members of their FoO are still living? Do they have a good relationship? How much contact does your oc have with their FoO? How in-the-loop is your oc’s FoO about your oc’s being Dragonborn/HoK/Nerevarine?

Roughly 20 years before the Great War, Morna’s mother was a respected Thalmor agent who was sent into Skyrim, there she met a nord and well- having a shaky relationship with her altmer husband things happened and... Morna was born. However her mother couldn’t bare to let it known that Morna wasn’t a ‘pure blood’ altmer and so hid her heritage for many years, not really knowing how others would treat her and the child.

It was only until Morna was sick and done with the Thalmor after the Great War did her mother come clean about her nordic father.

Morna does not have contact with her mom anymore (barely even looked at her non-dad), she doesn’t know if she’s alive or dead anymore. But her mom was in on the plan of faking her death and made sure her daughter could live freely and happily.

Its a shaky and distant relationship, to say the least.

7. What social class was your oc born into? Did they change classes at all? How?

Morna was born pretty upper/high class due to her mother and father, but was always looked at weirdly just the fact there was a little speculation about having darker hair then her parents and the blue eyes. With faking her death and running away, she deems it safer to live off-grid on the road, adventuring for the most part. SO if “Fugitive” and “Legally dead” count as a ‘Social class’ then that’s her.

13.  Does your oc have any particular rivalry or mutual dislike with any NPC?

Hadras doesn’t really gain rivalries against people, and I can’t name immediately specific NPCs besides just people who try and harm his Lord (Vancano) in any way.
