But do you know how subs experience subspace after an intense session with their doms. And it's all butterflies and rainbows,that, but in case of a shifter they experience a headspace which is adjacent to their species.

Like how Bruce is a Kitty shifter, so whenever he's fucked good and hard by Clark (which is every single time) he experience Kitty space. In that headspace, Bruce, in all essence of that word is a kitty. Like his human comprehension and understanding skills turn off completely for a while(time depending on how deep the headspace is). He's literally unable to think or talk, he's just floating in soft space but like 100x times more fuzzy. His eyes get completely unfocussed and blown out like he's high on catnip,he meows constantly whenever he's in that headspace,and is at his most submissive. His mind is as malleable and pliant as clay, he'd do and believe anything Clark tells him(and Clark usually lays it thick on praises and compliments about Bruce). It's a very vulnerable and sacred thing for shifters to show to their significant others and Clark cherishes it like nothing else.

Idk what brought this on, most likely it's my love for seeing Clark pampering an vulnerable Bruce (and also carrying an out of it Bruce like a baby Koala)

like that is SOOOO vulnerable, and would be dangerous if he were with anyone that didn't care about him as much as clark does. i feel like it would scare the hell out of him the first time it happens too, like... he's sort of stuck in the In Between of headspaces. he can feel himself reacting, and See clark reaching out and petting him, and Feel the rumble of his voice as he praises him. but other than that its sort of distant, like he's floating through water, and he just would NOT be able to fight if anything happened.

i feel like that panic would Almost win out until clark notices the way his heart starts to pound alarmingly fast or how bruce starts twitching every so often loke he's trying to force himself out of it. and clark, not wanting him to hurt himself, will just lay with him, cuddling him, murmuring sweet nothings for hours if that's what it takes. never doing anything more than bruce has already allowed when he's Not in his kitty space like this.

and when bruce starts mewling softly, and giving a broken little purr (he hasnt purred since before his parents passed....), clark will smile and snuggle him closer into the safety of his embrace 💞 hopeful that bruce recognizes that NOTHING bad will happen to him here

waaaaa i love love love the idea of clark just carrying bruce around the house like that too (〃´▽`) bruce all curlrd up against him like there's nowhere else he'd rather be in the world, bumping his head against clark's chin to show how much he loves him, all of that (*´ω｀*) clark just settling down in a little 'nest' of soft blankets and pillows so they can relax together and just. Be Together. AUGH MY HEARTTT

and then kitty!bruce finally waking up hours later. for a moment just watching the way clark has dozed off a little bit (old man needs his naps BAHAHA), how the sun is starting to rise after that lovely night, warm wisps of sunlight making yet another purr unfurl from his chest. clark's strong arms reflexively curling around bruce tighter, securely. bruce running his fingers through the soft hair on clark's chest and nuzzling in and reminding himself to tease clark about how its even more silver here than the hair on his head
