Most of you read this for the following reason:
You are too ashamed, embarrassed, and/or afraid to attend Catholic Church yourself. So instead you are trying to eat the crumbs from my table as I second hand explain it to you, because you recognize me and also don't understand how I can accept Roman Catholicism as an American.
That is your shame, embarrassment, and fear for your own problems about that subject/topic.
However, I was in church listening attentively and contemplating the gospel, and Jesus talks about his yoke and burden being light. I can follow Jesus here, but these teachings are not applicable to me.
Jesus didn't have to tell me a god damned thing because I picked up his "yoke" before he was born, immediately recognizing how much better of an idea that is compared to the heavy god damned burden I had been carrying before.
You should listen to him. He's trying to convince you for you own good. You do not want the other burden, especially if you think you can lift it because you see that I can.
You ought to go there and do that with him.
I cannot "find rest" in another person the way you people seem to want to force me to do. That is not my religion, not my way of life, not my natural instinct, nor is that wise or knowledgeably informed as social behavior in civilization. Jesus Christ is your only salvation.

How big of a deal was that, really? Did that threaten you in the least? The common flu, cold, sickness cooked up to be a little nastier or something, but still something you can unusually prevent entirely by participating in religious life honestly, meaning you take care of yourself and don't rely on other people to do it for you if you don't have to.
You can rely on other people and should never feel ashamed to ask, but you should also take great pride in solving problems for yourself and finding your own way, and doing it by your own willpower. You know? That's what religious life is, not what the atheists are trying to tell you it is.
That is their model of false religion and why nobody believes them and they are laughed out of intellectual circles whenever they lift their head.

This paradigm of mine is in perfect theological harmony with the goals of the Roman Catholic Church as accomplished by the Second Vatican Council. This is my natural and personal paradigm that I am learning perfectly immaculate serves the eternal wisdom the Christian Catholic doctrine.
It's amazing. The Roman Catholic Church was previously being domineering to protect people from bad intellectual experiments of a philosophical sort as well as any other. We are Christians because we are fully present in the name of Jesus Christ.
You know what "fully present" means, don't you? That also means you stop everything and give your full attention to the Christ. If you slink out because it is "uncomfortable" or "painful"... you can collect a brochure now about your eternal suffering in Hell in shame and disgrace, cut off from universal salvation.
Why else do people like us live so close to and care so deeply about the afflicted, poor, destitute, less fortunate, and suffering souls of the world... those people deserve better than the rest of you are doing for us. That's why we are unafraid of the dirtiness, the bad looks, the... humble way of life which does not waste time focusing on money collecting activities. We collect money, but as a side reward of what we are really doing.
You pay us because we would not do that other thing for you otherwise, but we are not doing that for the money. We are doing that for the Christ, just as our entire lives are lived for the Lord and not ourselves, nor our nation, nor anything else.
Most of the time you do not require to be paid for Christian work, do you? What about when you work at the grocery store, or gas station, or hospital, or school, etc. Anywhere. That is part of Christian life, but the money is not your Christian reward. The Christian reward is infinitely better than money could ever be useful for.
"Give us this day, our daily bread." That is what that divinely informed line of scripture means and has always meant. It is no different today than it was 10,000 years ago.
How much longer do you want to "exploit me" as your personal slave of Christian teaching? You don't have to pay me, that's true. Nor do you have to be grateful. That's also true. You could do whatever you want about it, including being evil godless mutilated nazi freaks! Wow... I didn't see that coming, I'll admit...

Wherever you are, when you go to Catholic Mass, at present, you can tell they know about me personally as an individual by name and life story, and are keeping me in mind, don't you? You can see that, can't you?

Donald Trump's level is beneath me, in fact. The president should be higher because of the quality of person, but Trump is opposite. He is the worst quality of person possibly in all the world right now, and the president is already a lower than human role, as servant in respect and honor. (This applies also to all service-members of any military and why we say "Thank you for your service/sacrifice." You say that don't you? That's why. The difference of word is delicate, isn't it?
