From the Garnet Group TSAVORITE Bright bluish-green to yellow green. In the 1960s a particularly good green coloured material was found in the Tsavo area of the Kenya-Tanzania border. Since any material with this colour from any source is called Tsavorite. It’s inclusions are acicular to fibrous crystals and feathers. Probable cause of this garnets colour are traces of vanadium and chromium. Again, I want to strongly emphasis that it’s very common for gemstones to have naturally occurring kink (Usually these are bubbles or inclusions that surface while faceting) and it’s perfectly normal. This is very useful to do a double verification on the spot.
