Cooling Down (spoilers)
Careful there Frostscythe, you're starting to sound like you got an axe for a face!
I love that as soon as Frostscythe goes for Cryozen again and Vilmor busts out her frozen blade you knew instantly that man was getting buried.
In the end, we say goodbye to yet another old villain from our past adventures in Book 1. Couldn't have asked for a more fitting death for someone who refused to see the error of their ways.
I enjoyed this little conversation between Vilmor and the Hero. I think it was important to acknowledge that it is still a good thing to have the option of offering redemption, or at least not killing them, for the chance of a better outcome but also just as equally fine if killing them is the only option left to you.
It's about time Vilmor's name with the Dragonlords be cleared. Although, I must say I never considered doing so might also involve reforming how the Order goes about handling their politics internally. With luck, they'll have better protocols in place should Vilmor's story repeats itself for someone else.
I admire this vision Galanoth has on shifting the governing principles of the Dragonslayers. I've said it before, but the man has gone a long way from wanting to put every dragon on a shirt.
Being a Dragonslayer should be about defending the public not just being able to hit harder against an impossible foe and proving you were better than them.
There will likely still be blood thirsty dragon hunters just as there are evil dragons or corrupt Dragonlords in spite of there also being good ones but with rigorous effort on Galanoth's part and his supporters I think he's got a shot of shifting the perspective of most of the slayers.
this quest was EVERYTHING 🥹
vilmor my love you are as beautiful as the day i lost you and cryozen jr beloved baby boy 🥰

Galanoth
The Hero had wanted to tell the Dragonslayer about something a little important. Actually, this was the most important thing that had ever happened to them, and Galanoth…he deserved to know.
Scrounging up the courage to approach him, they asked the Champion of Fire for a private moment, and he agreed.
"I was waiting for this," He nodded severely. "Let's go camping."
Before the Hero could get another word in, Galanoth tossed a fully packed bag of survival supplies into their arms, and herded them into the woods.
They tried to bring up the topic again, but the Dragonslayer started pushing them up the side of a rocky cliff.
"Concentrate on the climb. It's a long way down."
Once they reached the top, the Hero made another attempt, and got distracted by Galanoth constructing the tent.
The one tent. The only one.
They were sharing.
"Scandalous!" The Hero teased him, faking faux offense, but Galanoth snorted, waving the stupid comment off.
"Go start a fire. I'm not going to be your personal match. You'll get rusty." He could already smell smoke. "Is it going to be fish or squirrels for dinner?" The Hero asked. Dragon ribs were obviously off the menu. They briefly wondered if they'd get food poisoning if Galanoth used any of his Dragonbane weapons to hunt.
The Dragonslayer finished setting up the tent, and told the Hero to go hole up in there until he was done changing.
"What does that mean?" The Hero laid out the blankets as Galanoth removed his armor. "Woah!" They stuck their head out. "Woodsman Galanoth! Do I get to wear flannel too?"
Chopping wood, foraging for mushrooms, spear fishing, and sometimes, just sitting around the fire - the camping trip made the Hero completely forget about what they wanted to talk about with Galanoth.
"You're not so stiff anymore." Galanoth pointed out.
Both he and his Hero were laying side by side on their blankets, watching smoke rise into the night sky.
"What were you worried about?"
"Right. I was just thinking…" The Hero made a decision. "I'm glad everything worked out this way."
Galanoth knew there was more to this, but -
"It was meant to be. Simple as that."
bless world camera for finally letting me see how everyone is doing post-portal, which i decided to do while grinding for resources for malgor's armor set

-galanoth going forward to check on artix and aria
-artix with visible eyebags that combine with his nosebleed to show he isn't okay as he seems
-aria staggering as she's feeling the brunt of her nerve damage

-and tyndarius in the process of dying

[“After the Ice Orb”]
The Hero: I got the Ice Orb from your fridge.
Galanoth: Why do you have chocolate on your face?
The Hero: It was under the chocolate pie.
Galanoth: So you ate your way through it?
The Hero: I made a judgment call. You weren’t there.
