Huckleberry's World
What is Huckleberry’s World? Huckleberry’s World is a cosmic, character-driven sci-fi/fantasy saga about family, rebellion, and finding your place in a universe torn apart by conquest. At its heart is Huckleberry Honeybee, a brash, upbeat, and adventurous young man who feels trapped in a mundane life working at his mother’s nectar shop in Tokyo. But he’s far from ordinary—he’s the half-human, half-Apisen son of King Chavalier Balthazaar, a legendary knight of the alien Zentry.
When Huckleberry discovers his father’s identity, he’s thrown into a galaxy-spanning conflict against Lord Zog, the merciless galactic conqueror who has ruled Earth for 15 years and bent King Chavalier into his service. What begins as a quest to reunite his broken family soon grows into something much larger: a rebellion that could free humanity and countless other planets from Zog’s oppressive reign.
The World
Tokyo (Beehive District): A futuristic sector where Apisens—bee-like humanoids—live alongside humans. Huckleberry calls this place home, though he often feels caught between both worlds.
The Zentry: An elite, terrifying order of warriors bound by creed and the most elite are fueled by Zeta energy. They enforce Lord Zog’s will across the universe.
The Apisens: Noble, winged humanoids tied to honeylite crystals, knighthood, and royal bloodlines. Huckleberry is half-Apisen, with their physiology granting him enhanced speed, strength, and wings made of radiant energy.
Lord Zog’s Empire: Earth is no longer humanity’s own. Aliens hold aristocratic roles while humans are pushed into subordinate positions, leaving deep social divides.
The Characters
Huckleberry Honeybee – Upbeat, reckless, and determined to make his life mean more. Wields a honeylite katana and harbors the powerful Eye of Balthazaar, a rare trait of Apisen royalty that can alter memories.
Melissa Honeybee – Huckleberry’s human mother and owner of the Honeybee Nectar Shop. Strong, nurturing, and fiercely protective, she has borne the burden of secrets to keep her son safe.
King Chavalier Balthazaar – Huckleberry’s father and once-proud Apisen king, now enslaved by Lord Zog’s Zentry. Torn between loyalty and family, his love for Melissa and Huckleberry risks everything.
Aegon – A blunt but empathetic Mantean warrior seeking to free his brother from Zog’s grasp. Becomes Huckleberry’s unlikely partner and first true comrade.
Lord Zog – A chilling, goo-like immortal conqueror whose voice is as unfeeling as his rule. Seeks absolute dominion and sees kinship as weakness.
Zarautus – A towering Cloudrian Zentry member who can unleash devastating hurricanes, floods, and thunderstorms. Respected as one of Zog’s most destructive weapons.
Zembus (AKA Zemcumulonimbus) – A rebellious Cloudrian and exile of the Zentry. Fierce, unpredictable, and a potential ally with his own stormy powers.
