• They sit up, seeming oddly much calmer now that they’ve eaten. •

  Awkwardly looking off to the side, then sitting nearby. Not too close, but not far away, either.

Thank yo--Woah! Careful. Don't want ya passin' out. I know, it's a lot to take in. Here, bud, please sit.

[They quickly pull open a chair and offer it to him.]

I remember th' first time I went interdimensional... Not a fun time then neither.

  While the cafe wasn’t too big, there were plenty of comfy little nooks and tables around— there was no shortage of chairs to pull up. Many were old and had scratches, though still sturdy and usable. 

“ You… too? ”

  The strawberry wheezed out, legs shaking as he nearly fell into the seat while trying to sit down.

“ You… you did this, too? Was it also him? The giant… the giant horned lantern? That started it? ”

  Moving a few leaves from his face, letting out a sigh.

“ …Kade. ”

  Looking down at the floor for a moment, gaze fixated on the worn floorboards that he spent every day sweeping and cleaning after the bakery closed.

Day 376 - Stone

Y'ain't gotta apologize, bud. Sure, I wouldn't mind coming in. I'd be more than happy ta try shed some light on whatever I can. What's yer name, by th' way?

“ …okay. Okay, yeah. I… okay. Give me a second. ”

  A sigh as he ducked back into the kitchen, coming back out a few seconds later without the knife. The strawberry headed towards the door, glancing at the compass for a moment before clicking the lock and opening it for them to come in, taking shaky, shallow breaths as he continued to tremble.

“ S… sorry. I- ah. I keep apologizing. I guess I'm… still shaken up. There's a lot of seats here, you can… hhfh. Sit down… a-anywhe… anywhere… ”

[They tap lightly on the window.]

Look at me, bud. Y'ain't there anymore. You're here in yer bakery. That all happened, yep, but it's over now. You're safe and y'ain't gotta process it alone.

“ …hhmn. ”

  A little whimper as tears well in his eyes, jolting as the window was tapped on and blinking them away.

“ S… sorry. Sorry, I- ”

  He's still confused. He's still scared- he's still- no… he's not even angry. It was only him there. Whoever this compass was sounded genuine. He's been tricked by false kind words before, but he can't help but listen to them again. He's… desperate for any company right now, especially with someone that knows what's going on. He was starting to think he was going insane.
