Skeuomorphism is a design approach where contemporary items incorporate decorative elements from earlier versions, even when these features are no longer functionally necessary. Examples include tiny, non-functional handles on maple syrup bottles, decorative buckles on shoes, the floppy disk 'save' icon in software, and the shutter sound in digital cameras.

100% cotton fish potholders I made for Father's day

Recently bought these shoes for cheap but like every ballerina shoe ever made they refuse to stay on my feet. Just flapping about like flip flops lol. (Seriously how do people wear ballerinas?? How do they stay on your feet? Are my feet or your feet the weird ones?) So I added some buttons and elastic straps. To make the straps nicer to look at I stitched colorful braids down the middle of them.
