At the turn of 2017 and 2018, the European farm machine manufacturer ZETOR TRACTORS a.s. presented two new tractor models which extended the power range of ZETOR brand tractors from 40 to 70 hp. The tractors are outstanding with their dexterity and versatility and wide use in agriculture, livestock farming, municipal services, as well as in hobby farms and gardens. The new machines are born to work with front loaders.
The presented tractors (MAJOR HT 45 and MAJOR HS 65) are characterized, in particular, by their dexterity and versatility. The machines can be used for light agricultural and ground work, in hobby farms, gardens, orchards, parks, sports grounds, as well as in municipal services. They are particularly good at working with front loaders. That is why ZETOR, together with tractors, has extended its range of ZETOR SYSTEM front loaders with the ZC range suitable for the MAJOR HT tractors.
“On the American market, the total sales are dominated by tractors with a horsepower lower than 80 hp, which we offered until the end of last year. Therefore ZETOR has extended its range with machines usable in a class dominated particularly by minor hobby operations. We placed an emphasis on the new tractors to provide their users with benefits to which they are used with our red tractors – that is low operating costs, the ideal combination of power, performance and durability and, in addition, their wide applicability,” says Mike Boucher, Director of Sales & Operations, ZETOR NORTH AMERICA.
The heart of the MAJOR HT model range of tractors is their four-cylinder engine available with a horsepower of 43 hp. The engine meets the TIER 4 FINAL emission standard. The hydrostatic gearbox with three ranges is easy to operate by the operator with two accelerating pedals and one brake pedal. The maximum speed of the tractor is 17.7 mph. The wet brake system makes the new tractor a safe working tool which complies with safety standards. The hydrostatic steering and hydraulics (inner and outer circuits) are provided by two oil pumps with a total flow-rate of 14.5 gpm. It is a sufficient capacity, for example, for working with front loaders and other implements. The basic equipment of the machine includes air conditioning, which improves the operator’s comfort during long hours in hot weather.
The MAJOR HS 65 is equipped with a four-cylinder engine with a horsepower of 67 hp and the TIER 4 FINAL emission standard. The machine uses a mechanical gearbox with 24 forward speeds and 24 reverse speeds and is equipped with the so-called PowerShuttle, i.e. a reverser allowing you to change the driving directing even under load. The maximum speed of the tractor is 20.2 mph and, as well as the MAJOR HT, also this tractor is equipped with a wet brake system. In hydraulic circuits and steering circuits, the two independent oil pumps provide a flow-rate of 16.1 gpm. Also this tractor is equipped with air conditioning.
ZETOR, a European tractor manufacturer founded in 1946, has sold tractors, loaders and implements in the North American market for 40 years with sales of over 29,000 tractors. The larger models, Major, Proxima and Forterra, are offered with horsepower ranging from 80 to 150 hp. ZETOR SYSTEM equipment include front loaders.
