Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 2 teaspoons baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted. 1/2 cup milk. 1/2 cup sour cream. 1 egg. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1 1/2 cups chopped apples peeled and cored. For the crumb topping:. 1/3 cup all-purpose flour. 1/3 cup granulated sugar. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed. 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
Instructions: Turn on your oven and heat it up to 375F 190C. Put paper liners in a muffin tin or grease it. Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg together in a large bowl using a whisk. Melt the butter and add the milk, sour cream, egg, and vanilla extract to another bowl. Mix everything together well. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ones and mix them together just until they are mixed. Toss in the apple pieces. Fill each muffin cup about two thirds of the way to the top with muffin batter. Use a different bowl to mix the crumb topping. Add the flour, sugar, cold cubed butter, and ground cinnamon and mix well. You can make a crumbly mixture with your fingers or a pastry cutter. Cover all of the muffin batter in each cup with the crumb topping. After the oven is hot, bake the muffins for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean. For a few minutes, let the muffins cool in the pan. Then, move them to a wire rack to cool completely. Have fun with your tasty Apple Crumb Muffins!
