I’m playing with the idea of making cover art for all the podcasts I listen to, and wanted to draw one for Hello from the Magic Tavern! I’ve been listening to it a lot while working out and on the way to work and just finished season one.
Wait do the HFTMT wizards correspond with the seven deadly sins on purpose or is it just pure coincidence because like. There are seven named wizards with known domains, and. They all kinda fit into the pattern? (Eunice is named and has a color but we don't know her domain afaik so she doesn't really count for this)
Usidore- pride, kinda obvious, he's known for being way less competent than his self confidence and Foon-wide reputation would imply
Spintax- greed, fucker just. Keeps doing major stuff, also didn't he like??? Get rich on earth or something? Idk haven't listened to any of the premium content unfortunately but from what I know and recall that definitely suits him
Jyn'Leeviyah- lust, even though her fucking everything isn't so much out of lust but because it is her role, she's still. Very horny lmao
Telephys- envy, a difficult one to place since we know so little about him but he's like. Literally the wizard of life and death and is also canonically one of only two on this list to actually die at some point. Him being mentioned so little despite seemingly being really competent and important just makes me feel like he would be kinda bitter about how little recognition he got, and then how he fucking died for no reason because Usidore was messing around. He wouldn't be mad because his domain IS life and death after all, but. Usidore really did end up overshadowing him when he died and came back to life and also with how many people he killed and saved. Also to add salt to injury one of Usidore's biggest enemies being a well known necromancer GOTTA hurt. Usidore is kinda everything he might have been known for if he wasn't in the picture, and I'd imagine he just wishes to have what Usidore does.
Jamillious- gluttony, fairly simple since he rules over feast and famine!
Can- wrath, god the way the Cans get absolutely furious about their collective murder by Chunt is definitely a defining moment for them in my eyes. Also I am a believer to the Arnie-> Can -> Dark Lord theory so that also checks out there
Blorth- sloth, he has literally been in a depressed self imposed isolation for forever (mood tbh) and has no motivation to do anything and is neglecting all of his duties. The dude is just mad tired (and also honestly probably really needs a therapist lol)
