Hard truth: Tracking your food can be tedious and time consuming ( especially at first ) but if you align how you spend your time with your goals, you can make it work. - Of course tracking your food isn’t as fun as scrolling through Instagram or TikTok. Social media provides us with immediate gratification that food tracking does not. Not even close 😂 - Progress is the reward of food tracking...but that can take some time. Delayed gratification takes work but in the long run, it feels 2x as good. - Food tracking isn’t for everybody, but I challenge you to not write it off before you give it at least a solid 30 days or consistent and accurate tracking. Emphasis on accurate 😬 - It does get easier the more you do it and it can be an incredibly valuable tool to gain insight into your eating habits and learning more about the food you are consuming. - You don’t have to track forever, but doing it for even 30 days can help you get a better idea on proper portion sizes moving forward. - Write down your goals, take a look into where you spend your time and prioritize your time to fit your goals. If you want it, you will find a way. - If you want to give food tracking a try: MyFitnessPal is a good app to start with. - Ps. If you have struggled with an eating disorder or are currently struggling.
