September 10th - Up in Pleck, Walsall I spited this brisk, urbane puss who was stalking ratty  in the rubbish on the opposite canal bank by Scarborough Road Bridge. Nervous at first, I thought he was going to run away, but he found his courage and faced me while I caught him on camera.

This large black and white puss may be rooting through the rubbish but he was neat an tidy and very lithe.

Clearly one has to look one’s best, even in the most grim conditions...

Simon: “That was the easiest, big, complicated thing I’ve done actually. First time I heard it I thought I’ve got that. Just like that and I did it in one take.”

Mat: “I wish I did.”

Brett: “Did you find the chords a bit tricky?”

Simon: “I did find them a bit tricky yeah. But yeah that’s my most enjoyable song on the album to play and recording that one.”

Richard: “I remember you nailing that in the studio pretty quickly.”

Simon: “Just like that.”

Mat: “Bastard.”

Richard: “Yeah exactly and then immediately getting in a cab home..”

*Everyone laughs*

Richard: “See ya..”

Simon: “Thanks, see ya.”

Richard: “No chance to say goodbye...”

Mat: “One last cymbal is still ringing.”

Simon: “Puff of smoke.”
