You’d spent all day helping wrap gifts that were going to be donated. You had paper cuts on both hands. The table you’d been wrapping on was covered in tiny scraps of paper. There were tiny bits of cello tape stuck all over you.
Your eyes were starting to ache and you let them close for a minute. They snapped open again when something crinkly was laid over you and the sound of tape being stretched out ripped through the air. You sat up and whoever was next to you took their opportunity to stick one end of the tape to one side of the wrapping paper you found over you like a blanket and started wrapping tape around you.
“Fangs?” You said slowly. Fangs paused, a large bow held in his mouth but he continued what he was doing without answering. "Why’re you wrapping me up like a gift?"
“Forgot to get Sweet Pea a gift.” He said, his voice muffled a little through the ribbon in his mouth. When he was done he peeled the sticky tab off and stuck the ribbon on the top of your head so the bow flopped down like a hat.
He rolled your chair over towards Sweet Pea who was double-checking donations before they were wrapped. He didn’t look up until Fangs cleared his throat loudly.
“What… what did you do?” Sweet Pea asked. He chuckled as he looked at you, wrapped up in wrapping paper. He could see a strip where the pattern was missing so he assumed someone had accidentally stuck tape to it and tried to peel it off.
“I have a gift for you.” Fangs said and grinned.
“The gift is just (Y/N).” Sweet Pea said through a chuckle as he grinned and gestured at you. You huffed and frowned at him as you snapped out an objection. “Not that there’s anything wrong with getting (Y/N) as a gift…”
“I should think there’s not. I’m delightful.” You muttered and frowned at him.
“Well I was short on cash and I know you like (Y/N) so enjoy.” Fangs said. Sweet Pea watched him hurry off to help carry some boxes of more donations.
“You better unwrap me so I can go whack him with a roll of wrapping paper.” You said testily. Sweet Pea grinned and leaned over as he cut through the tape with a pair of scissors that were on his table.
“I think you’re the best present I’ve had this year.” Sweet Pea muttered.
“Just this year?!” You gasped and kicked gently at his shin as you both laughed as he finally got you free of the tape and wrapping.
