the fact that florality just now launched their beta and have subscriptions for up to $128 a year is really telling of the kind of people they are. yeah its not required but thats still such a fucking sellout. and you might not think its a big deal but at the end of the day they ARE paywalling access to features, or at least access to more of the same ones.
meanwhile ourcana hasnt asked for anything and is especially not trying to force subscriptions.. in fact the dev is literally going to try and waive any fees for systems who cant afford any online fees. fuck you money hungry assholes for using our disability for profit. you make me sick.

There is nothing more eye opening than seeing the entitlement of the average online system upon simplyplural and octocon shutting down. I understand the frustration and anger but Jesus fucking Christ it is not your right to have an app with all of the features you want right off the bat for free.
Apps take time. Apps take money! Apps take energy. It can be done by one person but realistically it needs a team of people. A team that a developer needs to trust with VERY SENSITIVE USER INFORMATION.
I fully understand that it is a tool for a disability but at the end of the day there are SO many alternatives than an app. Alternatives people do not want to use because they feel Entitled to someone’s time, energy, money, etc. actually ridiculous. Especially when many if not all of the devs for these apps are systems themselves. If you would not expect yourself to handle the immense amount of pressure and stress, why put that pressure and stress on other people WHO ARE ALSO DISABLED.
Half of you need to stop complaining and open your fucking notes app or a journal I swear to God.
Closed beta is coming out sometime today and open beta will be in about two weeks, so please look forward to it! A lot of great features!
Info taken directly from the staff below ♡
Here are the things that will be coming to either open beta or the full release!
1) A mind map, where you will be able to make a map of your inner world, this is helpful to see where people are. You may also be able to leave notes where you can tell others in your system where you are and where you were last seen
2) A music feature, post links add songs to profile as a profile set song!
3) System to system messaging boards and pins, notes and dm options !!
4) Discord like emotes will come to the app!
5) a checklist (will attach an image) that allows you to keep up with everything that you could forget!
6) being able to ping other people in the app “this is my brother @/gian” type things
7) relationship tab, a lot like the mind map, but for relationships. This can be romantic or platonic and familial, you will be able to mark down who and what are related to who and what :)
8) as a pk;r instead, you have a “wishing” system that allows you to randomize alters!
9) Custom fronts will be a separate tab where you can choose to input your own front instead of an alter!
10) custom statuses! They’ll not be part of closed beta, but they will be part of (hopefully) open beta and release! Do not fret!!
11) Fragmentation system, that allows you to create a tag, and tag a system member that is not fully functional or defined. This allows for more creative and organization control over your system :) - Coming to open beta
12) A system that will be turn off-able for your fronting status. “Are you sure” when you’re clicking to take someone off front, you can have this feature on, or off. It’s so you do not accidentally take someone off front
13) Jazzie Tutorials, they will show up and help you learn the app, show you how to do things and be helpful this will also allow you to reopen these tutorials, if you must need them :)
14) more customization to banners, you will be able to see it on the scroll list, when you look at all members, as this is a high customization feature it will be behind a paywall, but fear not! Normal banners that appear on the members page is free! And already here! In the beta!
15) This app will have different languages! We will be starting to have a localization only after the full app is released because that requires linguistics so we *will* add languages, but for now we will only be in English as English is mainly in use
16) Privacy buckets will be added to the full release, as this takes time. But we will be adding privacy buckets to individual alters
17) you will be able to leave messages on alters profiles!
18) mood jars will be added later! Aswell you’ll be able to choose your emotion and feeling and add it to a jar throughout the day, this will be added *WAY* later as it takes a lot of code
19) there will be a dropdown option for being on profiles. If you’d do not click on your friends profile you will be able to drop down their system fronting. Though if you click on it it will look like simply plural with all the alters fronting
20) we will have a “who am I” page, though it won’t be intractable it will just look like a resource page, that you can ask yourself and ground yourself. This is more a resource then a “feature” and it will come much later! :D
21) adding a tag for Interactives that you can see next to the profile so you don’t have to use groups for it, saves space and time. Will be implemented in the first version of release
22) will be adding a confirmation button to change information on alters in custom fields will also come in the full release
☆ This is subject to addition, nothing will be removed unless absolutely necessary for the coding to be removed :) and there will be a notice for it
23) A symptom tracker will come. This will allow you to post habits and symptoms in one place to keep it in order, this allows for easier communication and memory of symptoms
24) habits tracking will also come, this will come inside of the members tabs when you make a new member or edit them, you may have habits for alters, others may be able to see them or not up to your comfortability. This helps to identify who is infront and not
25) being able to pin important members to the top of the list to make it easier for you to find important people in your system such as hosts, gate keeper’s.. and more
26) Being able to click multiple users at the same time to add to a folder!
Hello, today we would like to address the topic of witch hunting in the system community, as it is sadly a very common occurrence.
An unfortunate but prominent behavior in the system community is the community's tendency to go on witch hunts for little reason. This hurts people and groups of people who have done little to nothing wrong and only serves to hurt the system community in return by painting it as hostile and spiteful.
We would like to be one of the first projects to address this directly because it's not only us it is hurting. No project is perfect, and every project makes mistakes. Treating these mistakes as monumental failures and tearing apart the people behind the project is not helpful.
We've noticed recently that people have not only been looking for the smallest things to try to bring this project down with, but have also been making up accusations to hurt the project. A fine example would be the tracing allegations that had zero proof and have caused our artist great stress. We ask that you cease these behaviors. It's unproductive, spiteful, and unbecoming.
We would like to personally remind the community how this project came about. This project was first initiated when a ex-friend of our lead dev asked her to buy Simply Plural. When that seemed unlikely, our dev decided she would make her own app for systems. Even though he is a singlet, he has shown great initiative and is dedicated to providing a replacement for Simply Plural that is accessible and easy to use. Even now, that goal hasn't changed, and he has become very well informed about DID/OSDD, which has only served to help the project.
Trying to bring down this project isn't just bringing down a project you dislike for whatever reason, it will also hurt all the sufferers of DID/OSDD who are hoping for a replacement for Simply Plural, who need this app, who have very few other tools to turn to.
The point of this statement is to hopefully help the community understand the harm it causes by going on these pointless hunts, and encourage you all to think before making allegations or accusations with no proof, and we invite you to ask yourselves if we're really doing wrong by you, or if you are only doing this out of spite.
As always, if you have any questions, you may open a ticket in our discord server or email [email protected].

screenshots i had of a conversation with florality staff.
screenshots are in lightmode as that is what i use but i will include alt text, and even ignoring syscourse i want to point out how rude the staff was the entire time. i encourage you to read over this no matter your stance on syscourse, and make your own opinion on whether you wanna support florality or not.
DO NOT HARASS, INSTEAD BLOCK THEM, AND DO NOT ENGAGE PLEASE, i am posting this for awareness, not as cancel culture, alright? thank you and enjoy
the announcment i saw forwarded in another server, the reason i sent proof in the first place. here for context.
both documents i linked to them: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1bLejRXsgJ3NRlHQOeXUe3lPtnBJ8qYj3Ope0-8QTRFY/edit?tab=t.0 and https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FetfQO-EeQZcol0bDxG75kHXyPPBPgg4YwlWJOipwwk/edit?gid=0#gid=0
the attached screenshot:
the link mentioned by ark https://did-research.org/did/history/
note the putting down of looking at your system as multiple people, something those WITH cdds commonly do to heal. also, by this logic, then claiming to be multiple people would count as a totally seperate thing than did (being a fragmented state) but they contridict this later
jamie is refering to the first screenshot they attached, the things i linked; https://www.theguardian.com/books/2020/apr/27/majority-of-authors-hear-their-characters-speak-finds-study and https://lithub.com/lessons-learned-from-a-year-listening-to-the-fictional-octopus-in-my-head/ (which.. do somewhat prove endogenic plurality, in a specific context)
they seem to agree that multiple people in one head 1. is not what a CDD is and 2. occurs outside of did YET believe being a system/having alters is something only someone with DID or OSDD can do/have. that is a contridiction, no?
link i used: https://did-research.org/did/basics/dsm-5/ (note this is from the same website source ark linked earlier)
note i said i do experience the one criteria that describes HAVING ALTERS which they previously said can only happen with a system. they ignored that completely and instead chose to call me a singlet.
"stop romanticising a disorder." a disorder i had said multiple times i did not have and did not fit any of the criteria of except for one.
so, apparently, despite perfectly fitting the criteria that says you have alternative states, just because i dont have distress, i dont count as having those alternate states. this makes me question how theyd react to DID/OSDD systems who no longer find it distressing, but yk.
another headmate switched in at the last point, because he was a bit mad about being told he wasnt real (same, haha) so you can skip over it as it was over the conversation but you can also keep it in mind for your opinion on us. (name of another headmate censored for my privacy)
asked on the distress part:
ark then said "i dont see where im contridicting myself" and banned me. read and see what you think, i hope you all come up with your own opinions (even if that is thinking im the ass here, because thats equally as fair) but if youre supporting florality just like. keep it in mind
^ my ban message. the "lack thereof" part is quite rude in my opinion.
We had the honor to be beta testers for the closed Beta of Florality! Many thanks to the team for putting their trust in us to test their amazing tool!
This document was written and sent to the FloralityTeam so they could review it and enlighten us on the future of this application and potentially give us extra details — remember our goal is also to help the teams and not downgrading their work! Please don’t forget to support them!
We will not be talking about bugs here; only what is useful. Our tester is a polyfragmented system, and this may influence our needs for tools for plurals.
Before talking about managing our system, let’s take a look at the app and our account.
Importation
First things first, Florality lets you import your data from your Simply Plural, and your Plural Kit. They are currently the two “only” applications you can import from (but they are considering importation from other applications). The steps are very clearly explained, and if you are not familiar with this type of importation (or if you’re like some headmates and you are usually struggling with technology), they are very easy to import from.
What’s more, while checking the importation tab, you will be able to see when your last importation was synchronised. If you’re struggling to remember if you are up to date or not (if you often have amnesias), this feature comes VERY handy.
Privacy and data
The first concern I’ve seen when people are complaining about apps is the security of our data when creating an account. Florality is transparent about sharing our data, having a dedicated page to explain about our data, our privacy, how they are storing it. Here, you can also have more information about your laws and your data. As a system struggling with paranoia, this eased our worries.
Florality also has a trash option, where you can choose if your deleted information is stored for 7 days, 30 days, 60 days or 90 days. A lot of systems had at least one time one of their headmate deleting information about themselves, or another headmate’s. With this “Trash” function, you can have access to what has been deleted recently, and the possibility to restore it.
Account security
With Florality, you have more options to connect yourself to your account. You can choose to connect your Google account, your Discord or your Apple account. You can also add another email, which is very useful in case you forget your emails, or put a backup one if you have issues connecting yourself to your email — or share it with someone.
You can also check on what devices your account is connected to, and have the possibility to see when it was connected on these devices. This is very helpful if you’re scared someone might have access to your account.
Accessibility
Accessibility options are also available for Florality, for visually disabled folks. High contrast and several fonts for accessibility (such as OpenDyslexic) can be selected, with the possibility to customize the size of the font (you can edit the px size).
The design of the dashboard is also pretty intuitive and simple, which helps a lot to understand it, and more comfortable for the eyes to look at!
Paid features?
You can support Florality by paying a subscription, which offers advantages. A part of them are about cosmetics; such as having GIFs in banners and PFPs, slots of color schemes and themes, etc.
On the other hand, there are also more “technical” features which are behind this subscription. Among them, the notes (3 per member), custom fields (10 per profile) and templates (3). Which can be a problem for systems relying on custom fields to try to keep up the more information they have.
However, if you are importing from Simply Plural, you will have all your custom fields, even if there are more than 10. You will also be able to edit them. What’s more, the limit of notes is set to 100k character length.
This is due server storage stockages. While discussing with the team, they explained if Florality has enough income, they will increase the limits for the free versions. But for now, they need to maintain this restriction.
Application’s features:
Now that we’ve seen the features about your account, now we’re gonna talk about what the app itself is about.
Alter profile and organisation
As we mentioned earlier, we — the testers& — are a polyfragmented system, with many subsystems, fragments, etc. Which means our needs about managing our sysmates profiles may differ from other plurals. We hardly found features which were easier for us to keep correctly tracking our subsystems.
However, we were surprised when we saw Florality’s organisation. You can directly see in the sidebar an overview of who’s fronting and clicking on their profile to open it — and see their time while fronting. Adding profiles is simple, and organising them also is easy. You can choose to see all of your headmates, or see them in their main folder (for subsystems, for example). Which makes it easier if you have a lot of intra who are barely fronting!
The edition is quite easy, and you can find custom fields with features commonly used: text markdown, colors, dates, text… but also separators, images, etc!
On their profile, you have the possibility to check the folders your headmate is in, and manage it directly, without coming back every time and so to remove them. This may not be a big deal, but it saves a lot of time for large systems with a lot of members.
You can also add notes and entries in your headmate’s profile. You can add other alters on the writing, adding this entry to their profile. You can also export it to a text file. Which is very easy if you keep a journal about an infodump, and you want to share it (for example).
Unfortunately, you can only have 3 entries per profile. While you can have more or unlimited by upgrading your account, we personally think this is a regrettable option. But as we mentioned it higher, this is due to a storage issue. So with patience, this may not be an issue anymore in the future.
Switch tracking, analytics and history
Keeping track of switches and having the possibility to analyze them can be an important feature to help us& to understand ourselves.
Within Florality, you can check your front history. If you are familiar with Simply Plural’s front history option, Florality’s is pretty much the same. We’re not complaining, since a lot of systems are using Simply Plural for years, this makes it very much easier to understand. If you are not, Florality’s front history still is intuitive! While watching your front history, you may be able to select a period if you want to check it in detail.
Another section, paired with fronting history, is its analytic. Fronting analytics allows you to give you a more detailed view on your previous fronts. Here, you can take a look at the fronting times of your headmates, who have been fronting the most, between two precise dates. You can select various options to track more precise information: time of the day, duration of front…
You can also filter the fronting data by group (and you can include other profiles from the subfolders). For example, you can select your subsystem A to see precisely which Alter fronted, rather than your whole system. This can be interesting for huge and/or polyfragmented systems.
Importation features
We have checked and tried the two importation features Florality has implemented to their application. At this time, you can import from Simply Plural and PluralKit. You can choose to import from both of those tools, and you also have the possibility to select what and who you want to import on Florality. This means, if you don’t want to have groups and just want your profiles being imported, this is possible.
You can choose to import or not :
Alter profiles
Notes
Groups
Front history
If you already have imported profiles, Florality will warn you they are already imported, and will give you the option to keep their profile and update them, but also your notes, front history, etc. If you want to update only some of the profiles, you can here again select which profile you want to be updated.
About the front history, when you import from those tools, you can also check an option to update your front in Florality based on your current front on the tool you’ve imported. If you’ve imported from several sources and you just want from only one, you can take a look in the import history, and remove/delete all data by importation date.
Other features
This section is for other features we couldn’t decide in which part they’d be, and their own section would be too short.
Recent history, recent notes….
A useful feature to quickly take a look at what has been edited recently. If you forgot what you were working on, or if you just switched and want to know who has been fronting before you and what was edited, this function can help you.
Fuzzy search
Fuzzy search is a feature allowing you to look up from anywhere an Alter or a group. This gives you an easiest access to your members or groups (another interesting feature for huge systems). Currently only available on PC with a shortcut.
Closing words
And with that, our first review comes to an end! We would like to deeply thank Florality again for trusting us to participate at their closed Beta, allowing us to write this review, and their implication.
We hope this review may help you to give you a better idea of what Florality offers to you.
