VERY unpopular hobby opinion, but I really love finecast.
I wish GW had leaned heavier into making small runs of specialised models, characters and the like.
There is so much personality to these that the plastic models don't have.
Look at the sheer details of this little dude. And the same goes for my Drukhari. Just exquisite.
Do Grey Knights know how to force choke? Been playing some 40k and realised I desperately needed a Grey Knight Librarian. Kinda happy I found an older terminator finecast version; made the conversion a lot easier (carving out the head and the left shoulder pad). Now some primer.

This set includes ten distinct right arms, and ten distinct left arms, and no two form a pair that fits.
Also this seems as good a place as any to say that the mold seam lines on these things are offset by like 1mm, which is about as bad as I’ve ever seen it on any figure from any brand in my life.

These dudes are clearly still Works in Progress, but I wanted to share their faces, which I have done today. Fun Fact: Astorath has no eyeballs, which made painting his eyes somewhat tricky.
Slambo!
AKA Mr Toomany Mouldlines
Unfortunately he only comes in finecast.
Painted in my green-fantasy-nurgle colours.
I should have cleaned him up better but some mould lines and injection marks were on pieces so thin and delicate that I started feeling like an eye surgeon. Otherwise very happy with the result.
