It seems like the goal for a lot of tumblr alterhumans and therians is to perfectly map out their identites onto origin terms and labels that all feel distinctly different. I definitely think my draconic identity could look like a classic kintype from one angle and otherlink for another, whereas my robot identity could look either fitting under the otherkin label, some kind of fictionfolk label or even a hearttype label. I'm sure some of my identites could even look orthohuman (i.e those coming from self-insertion and the like) from certain angles. Like I dunno I donβt think this shit is inherently straightforward I think it depends.
okay I'm curious- fellow fictionkin, what do you call your fictotype (as in, exactly as they appear in your source media) to differentiate them from yourself? I call him my "canon counterpart" but I just started wondering if other people have different phrases for that
Alex's fictionkin ask game!
(mostly for fictional characters)
π² - what is your fictotype?
πͺ² - do you miss your home? Or maybe you're happy that you're here?
πΈ - do you have any sourcemates? If yes, who/what are they?
π³ - in scale 1-10, how are you similar to your canon?
πΏ - does your fictotype have a different sex/gender identity than your body/you?
βοΈ - what aspect of life does your identity affect the most?
πͺ΄ - is your fictionkin experience unpleasant or enjoyable for you?
π - what reminds you of your fictotype? (E.g.: a figurine, a doll, a tv series)
π - on what level is your identity? (E.g. spiritual, psychological, psychical)
π’ - do you experience shifts? Of yes, how do they look like?
π₯ - what is your source?
π - how do you feel about fanarts of you and fanfictions?
π΅ - do you look exactly like in your source or do you look different? If you do, then what is different?
π₯ - what do you think about ships with you?
π¦ - do you have/had a loved one in your source?
βͺβͺβͺ
So, yeah, that's all! :D
Reblog this, so the others can ask you questions or answer them all right now, if you want to :>

I really wish I only had one kin, I want to have a hoard of plushyβs and masks and things of my kinβs but thatβs really hard cause Iβm a billion different creatures and characters
Kinic yumeship (yume/selfship flag & term)
Term for those who yumeship due to a kintype being shipped with that character/yume.
Or
Term for those whose yumeships are affected by their kintype. Such as having a lesbian kintype and a fem yume.
I need to stop making self-indulgent terms.... hhnnghhh
