Following along the false miracles novel I've noticed the similarities in Sebastia and Ryne's story, Ryne doesn't cover as much as the religious trauma as Sebastia does. But religion is a big part in many women's treatment.

About the Man and cameras
Here is an example of the phone (Xiaomi) camera becoming more and more corrupted as the Man was getting closer to me (I don't know in what exact way "closer", but anyway)
Obviously, the corruption seems simular to the burning of a Xiaomi phone camera matrix affected by radiation. There's only one problem: when the Man leaves, it works well again. And a burnt camera matrix doesn't just get magically fixed by itself. It's either the type of radiation that can reverse time itself, or the Man just doesn't exist within the concept of time. And this seems like an idea that looks really possible to me. I just need to figure out how to explore this further and how to do an experiment.
And I've noticed that the Man affects different sorts of cameras differently. And same cameras are sometimes affected differently, and different cameras are affected in the same way. And I have no idea how and why.
What do I even do with this information.
Anyway, if you are seeing your camera spontaneously getting more and more corrupted, you know it's getting closer. There's no point in running, genuinely, but you can at least be prepared.

winter missions were much harder on toby compared to the others.
slenderman would be constantly making sure that toby was rugged up and dry.
as hes unable to regulate his own body temperature, he couldn’t ever decipher between hot and cold.
and missions during winter months were much harder to work on, as toby was trying to stay out of any snow and rain, simply to prevent himself from getting wet.
worst case scenario is he’d get a mild case of frostbite and he’d never realise.

About the Man. Basic protection and theories
1) the observer symbol can more or less protect you. It seems that it's rarely as powerful as shown in the TT series, but putting it on all the doors and windows in the house can make them stop acting weird and opening to anywhere they aren't supposed to. Sadly, tattooing the symbol on your chest doesn't seem to stop the Man from controlling you. However, theoretically it can stop any possessions (for example, the Habit can't posess you like that).
2) looks like you can be found and affected by the Man anywhere. It can appear in churches of any kind, on open water, in and around of moving transport, etc. however, being around people tends to be safer in terms of them being able to restrain you if you try to murder someone. Sadly, murder is illegal.
3) now, does actual witchcraft work? You can't protect yourself with religious items of any sort, but I'm still researching on practical witchcraft. I don't know if it's a placebo, coincidence or anything else, but some items, rituals and spells tend to change how often I get memory losses and feel slender sickness.
