i genuinely feel like a lesser person bc i've never had sex or a romantic relationship and i'm not sure if i ever want to or not. if it happens it happens, if it doesn't it doesn't, idc. i'm content not actively pursuing that stuff but it feels like i'm doing something wrong bc everyone says/implies that i should desperately want this stuff. and it's not bc i'm aroace (which i thought for a little bit), ik i experience attraction, it's just like, i rarely experience it irl, and actually having sex/romance doesn't sound that appealing to me tbh?? i seriously prefer just fantasizing about it (mostly just with fictional characters). idk... there's something wrong with me 😞
I have a problem with being jealous of people who can have crushes on irl people cause my f/os can’t really love me back and it hurts. I wish I could be loved too..
I'm sorry you feel that way, anon. You are lovable and I doubt you aren't loved. Romantic love isn't the only type of love with value in this world. I know it can seem that way, I've discussed here myself how I feel like as a society we tend to treat romantic connections as the end all be all thus kind of minimizing platonic or familial love and it's harmful I think because a lot of people end up feeling the way that you do. Like you're not lovable because you don't have a romantic partner or like you wish you had what people consider "normal" feelings.
Lets say for the sake of argument you really do have no friends at all and no family, blood or chosen at all. There's absolutely ways you can still make those connections. I promise you don't need "normal" romantic attractions to lead a full life, anon. Regardless, we're here for you and we very much care about you.
And about your f/os not being able to love you back, maybe not physically but- that warm fuzzy feeling they give you? The jump in your heart you get when you see/picture them smiling? That's a loving feeling, is it not? Granted I'd love to be able to hug and kiss my husband and my boyfriend I'm sure as a lot of people here would love to be able to with their f/o as well but I still experience love and feelings of love with them.
umm hello! it’s been quite some time since i was on this blog, but uh, i’m thinking about trying to boot it back up again!
hi! i go by moony, and this is my selfship blog, where i talk about my many boyfriends
nonbinary; it/its (he auxiliary)
main f/o is damien morningstar from btd
i have some villian f/os, so we’re villian f/o friendly over here
f/os from: marvel, tangled, dragon age, supernatural, and more
i don’t mind sharing f/os!
some things have changed since i was last active, and some haven’t. some of my followers are still around!, and some aren’t. i’d love to meet some new people here in the selfship community, so please, if you don’t mind, could you reblog this post if you’re a selfship that might want to interact with me?
thank u so much for reading! i look forward to having fun and loving our f/os together!
before you follow ☆ about me ☆ full f/o list
I’m aroace but consider myself “boy crazy” for fictional men. I’m romance and sex repulsed IRL. Is this reasonable, or should I consider a different identity?
of course that’s reasonable!! Plenty of arospec people feel the same way!
(idk if you wanted it, but a label you could look into is fictoromantic- only feeling romantic attraction to fictional characters. Of course, you can choose to go by any labels or none at all, whether they technically fit you or not :)

Fictoromantic
Romantic attraction to fictional characters is called fictoromantic.
Hello lovely valid fictoromantics
Hello i am shamelessly slithering into your inbox
So... Do you perhaps know what the official flags are for caedromantic, bellusromantic, fictoromantic, and nebularomantic?
The wiki is somehow incomplete and I kinda wish there was one site that could list all arospec identities. Like all of them. I guess they're not constantly being updated
That's all thank you so much for your service to the aro community! 🌵
I can for sure try to find them! :)
caedromantic
bellusromantic
fictoromantic
Nebularomantic

Is being ficto on the aro spectrum? Because I swear, kissing a fictional character in my mind beats having a real relationship,,, I've been in a real relationship before and that was just about one of the worst months of my life,,, My fictional men won't treat me that way! They'll actually leave me alone if I ask them too! Plus they look far better than any real man I've ever encountered too 😓
fictoromantic is on the aromantic spectrum :)
