I was of an opinion that i have a somewhat decent self-esteem but then all of a sudden i read my own fucking thoughts written into a pov of fetch phillips, the guy who hates himself for a living. now i feel like i need to re-evaluate the fact that i have a 'somewhat decent' self-esteem
i can’t believe fetch phillips is fumbling being y/n for a SECOND time. first he ran away from the hot ancient elf who’s also the leader of fantasy-world, now he’s dealing with the cocky billionaire CEO who he has an antagonistic but simultaneously close relationship with. all im saying is his life could be a lot easier if he just embraced his bisexuality and pathetic riz

Propaganda:
fetch phillips is so insane he hears himself referred to as someone’s pet once and instantly knows the killer is his mentor/bestie/situationship he thought was dead. he also realizes this is possible because he asked zero follow up questions about how, when, or really even if he actually died

Welcome to the Fetch Phillips Archives Wiki! This wiki is dedicated to the Fetch Phillips Archives book series by Luke Arnold. The wiki is
so over the past month or so i've been working on a wiki for the fpa books. at the moment it's fairly complete - it's usable as a reference for fics etc - but there is still a lot of work left to do, so please feel free to come & help edit!
if you have any questions or issues, please don't hesitate to reach out!
finished reading Whisper in the Wind 🧍🏽♀️🕳️ fetch finally gets out of his kicked dog routine & starts realizing why they need to organize the masses. emphasis on realizing because we'll still have to see the fallout of his actions in the next book. months before i even got a copy, i read beloved mutual ari @straightlinewasalie's book review & i got super nervous about this installment being more of a plot-driven narrative than the previous books, because i'd grown so attached to fetch just navigating his world all sorry & wet & pathetic. though i do agree; this is less character focused, but i still find myself enjoying it more, especially the latter half of the story.
Whisper in the Wind's mysteries rescued fetch out of the hole he'd dug himself in & it brings reprieve from us mucking around the dirt of his guilt & shame with him. it seems like the right time! i still suspect Luke Arnold rewatched or at least kept Black Sails S3 in mind when he wrote this book, because a lot of the broad strokes of the narrative are here, which he condensed into (honestly still lukewarm [pun intended]) sociopolitical commentary on the police, private militias that only serve the rich, the press, youth at the forefront of radical movements, a dangerous part of the city where wronged & forgotten species hide, & the complicity of citizens living in broken systems.
my current rankings: dead man in a ditch > whisper in the wind > one foot in the fade > the last smile in sunder city
