OKAY. SO. I decided to do a separate post for this rec because it hit me so strongly and I’m still a bit thunderstruck.
I just read a series called
One of These Nights by balefully and mediaville
It’s Niall Horan/Niall Breslin and contains What turns on your lights, Full moon is calling and Coming right behind you. ~27,000 words total. It’s basically friendship fic between Niall/Bressie where Bressie has maybe always felt more for Niall and Niall just starts to pick up on that. Stuff develops.

This is not even my OTP you guys. NOT EVEN MY OTP AND LIKE.
I finished this in shock feeling like it was my favorite 1D fic in fandom. Like before reading it I considered so keep my candle bright as my favorite fic EVER relating to 1D. And now I can only really ever call it my fav H/L fic.
The level of everything in this series just blew me away. The emotional connection/need that was displayed between Niall/Bressie was UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE. The porn was 100% HOT AS FUCKING FUCK. BUT THERE’S SIZE KINK IN IT AND THAT HITS ME SO HARD WITH THOSE TWO. (but also has to do with the emotion wrought out between them, why it’s so scorching hot) OVERALL IT WAS SO FUCKING SATISFYING FOR ME IN EVERY WHICH WAY.
And it’s kind of funny because it’s NOT 90,000 words it’s not 160,000. It’s not this grand sweeping epic fic, which is the type you would think would be your favorite fic in fandom. It just goes to show how fucking good the writing is. because I don’t need long epic fics. I need REAL, RAW, EMOTION, CONNECTION, NEED, SEX, INTIMACY, LOVE between two friends. And I got that in this 27,000 words perfectly. Now I don’t expect anyone else to read this and feel the same way. Each fic hits a person differently, but this was so major for me I had to talk about it and rec it.
