I’m gonna start posting fandom stuff on here to increase my reach, but I don’t want to pigeonhole myself so I’ll post stuff that generally applies. That character with messy hair is so me lol, I too like men who are tall. I hate that woman

I was tagged by @myfavouritelunatic. Thank you!!
Your Name: Adriana
Your First Fandom: Harry Potter, back in the day. I left after the publication of the Order of the Phoenix.
Your Current Fandom: The Rings of Power. Hands down the best fandom I have ever been in.
How did you first get into fandom?: I actually never knew there was anything like fandom in pre-internet days. And one day I was googling "Voldemort" and that was when I discovered fanfiction.net. :-)
How long have you been engaging in fandom spaces?: 21 years, with occasional breaks. Mostly lurking, I have only been active in HP, Shadow and Bone/Grishaverse and The Rings of Power.
How often do you read fanfic?: Now that I no longer write, almost daily. It has become a part of my "prior to going to sleep" routine.
Top three characters from your current fandom?: Eh... Halbrand, Mairon and Sauron? :-D If I had to name three different characters, it would be five. :-) Halbrand, obviously, and Galadriel, as well as Elrond, Durin and Disa.
Have you ever written a fic for a fandom and if so, shout it out!:
I have. 20 years ago it was just one one-shot and some poetry. My real fanfic Muse emerged in 2021 with Shadow and Bone, until she insisted I switch to The Rings of Power.
Fire: A RoP one-shot. Genre: redeeming Mairon. Characters: Halbrand and Galadriel.
Tale of a King: A RoP "redeeming Mairon" novella that started as a version of Fire with a different ending, and got out of hand. It's the one I am most proud about. It jumps between 2nd and 4th age and between prose and poetry (excerpts from a fictional theatre play). Characters: Halbrand, Galadriel, Bronwyn and several OCs. Despite having both Hal and Gal as characters, this is the one that is not Haladriel.
Three of Hearts: A Grishaverse one-shot. Just like Tale of a King, it has excerpts from a fictional theatre play. Characters: Alina, Aleksander, Mal and one OC.
Have you ever drawn fan art for a fandom?: If the logos for the Sauron Appreciation Society and Human Halbrand Defense Squad count as fan art, then yes.
Share a personal headcanon that you feel strongly about: Team Repentant Sauron. Even though I know I am deluded. :-)
You’re trying to convince a friend to get into your current fandom(s) with you. what episode, clip, or scene are you showing them?: I have already managed to talk two people into watching RoP. My enthusiastic blabbering and sharing my videos did the trick.
And finally, what does fandom mean to you?: A safe place where I can relax, with extremely nice, witty and creative people who share my hyperfixation and who are a joy to interact with. ♥
I think most people have already been tagged.
Tagging @jomiddlemarch @jhalya @inahandful-of-dust and anybody who wants to play.
Get to know me: fandom edition
Thank you @helenvader for the tag <3
Your Name: People around here call me Jules.
Your First Fandom: Pitch Black, Riddick x Fry
Your Current Fandom: Haladriel Nation and my Obiyuki Fam :)
How did you first get into fandom?: I despaired over the ending of Pitch Black (although it was a fitting one) and I wanted it not to happen and then I googled how to fix it and ran into ff.net.
How long have you been engaging in fandom spaces?: oooff, 2008?
How often do you read fanfic?: Every day!
Top three characters from your current fandom?: Halbrand, Celebrian and Izana :D
Have you ever written a fic for a fandom and if so, shout it out!:
Haha, I’m jhalya on AO3 so you can check my work there :)
Have you ever drawn fan art for a fandom?: nope, but @onedivinemisfit feeds me her glorious art, usually way past our bedtimes :)))
Share a personal headcanon that you feel strongly about: celebrian half maia is canon, idc what y’all say!
You’re trying to convince a friend to get into your current fandom(s) with you. what episode, clip, or scene are you showing them?: the log scene from Rings of Power. Like, man was having moment.
And finally, what does fandom mean to you?: interaction and support! the best feeling in the world is when you get to inspire someone or you are inspired by someone else’s work and you just feed off each other’s creativity. I adore this!

Mmm. I'm a bit more in the middle on TNTDuo than some of my mutuals. I think we've talked about it before that after I learned to block the tag on literally every fandom platform, I've been able to enjoy it more.
I just had to cultivate finding people who talk about it as I want to talk about it -- Wilbur's strange dynamic with one of the only adult friends he's ever been able to make. I like current TNTDuo more because of how it paints their interactions in S1 than anything they're doing now, which is weird to say. Saying that, holy fuck have I accidentally seen stuff that even in shippy fandoms would be pushing a line. In a detached way it's kind of fascinating that this is one of the largest ships this fandom has ever had. In other fandoms, their dynamic would likely be a fringe ship that you know some people have interest in but it's not big enough to distract from anything in canon.
I have theories on why it took off -- mainly that Wilbur and Quackity are two of the best at making their characters really different from how they actually are so people use that fictional divide as justification for boundary pushing. There's also, as mentioned by others, the interactions between the content creators outside of RP. There's the fact that cc!Quackity and cc!Wilbur are the biggest proponents of creating really in depth interactions and histories between their characters and others (to the point that no one has had more canonical relationships than Quackity). Also that there just aren't many non-platonic relationships in fandom (which is literally why I got sucked INTO this fandom). Shippers are going to exist no matter the source material, and Quackity and Wilbur sort of threw blood in the water for some very hungry sharks.
Honestly, I don't think it was unintentional, but, I do wish one of them would address how uncomfortably graphic some of the jokes and shipping has gotten. Like, when I mean address I mean specifically about these two characters and not in general. Don't give wiggle room for people to misinterpret and twist and try to rephrase.
Regardless, yeah, I block about 90% of TNTDuo stuff at this point. But, I can recognize that it's a strange fandom trend that will likely die off once it's either acknowledged by the content creators or canon firmly dismisses it. I guess babbling to say that while it makes me uncomfortable, it is interesting to see the how's and why's and what is says about the fandom community more than anything else.
L and R
L - Your favorite fanartist/author gives you one request, what do you ask for
FOR THEM TO DRAW OR WRITE ABOUT MY FAVE CROSSOVER OTP GOKUSERE!!!
Since is such a rarepairing, I want more content of them since mostly I create it myself and if they are fine with that, I will be super happy!
R - A pairing you ship that you don’t think anyone else ships
Anon, I can see you had a plan with asking these two questions AND I AM HAPPY TO RESPOND BECAUSE I WANNA TALK ABOUT IT SO THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!
It definitely is Gokusere.
Gokusa for tumblr but I call it Gokusere since I grew up with the latin spanish dub and I got to know Usagi as Serena.
Yeah I am talking about Goku of Dragon ball and Serena Tsukino of Sailor Moon.
Before any misinterpretation of my words, I only ship them when they have around the same age or have a three-year difference. Also, I mostly ship them as teens.
Those two are so perfect for each other???? Like???
They both fight towards powerful people who want to rule the universe or world, they both eat a lot, they are both aliens and both are super innocent sometimes.
And they could be such an iconic couple! Heck even it makes sense for Goku to being attracted to her first since she is from the moon and the Saiyans get power for the moon at some point. So it's a great way for him to get his attention on her but as he knows her more, I can see them both falling really hard for each other. Teaching each other things like fighting (Goku to Sailor Moon) and about romance and social skills (Sailor Moon to Goku).
Also, Goku's saiyan name is Kakarot, aka a pun from Carrot and Serena's Japanese name Usagi means bunny....
A carrot and a bunny...
A bunny that eats her delicious carrot
AKJBVHSDHJSAB I GOT SIDETRACKED BUT YOU SEE HOW THEY CAN BE WHOLESOME AS HECK TO KINDA MORE MATURE AND I AM HERE FOR IT.
I have to add tho, that they are super personal to me since I love them both as characters and are the couple I always come back after having a bad time or when I can't draw. I think thanks to them, I was brave enough to post my drawings in tumblr and Devianart.

When you get this, respond with five things that make you happy! Then, send this to ten people in your notifications. Spread the positivity.🖤🌼
1. Fandom Friends! The lovely people that I’ve met & befriended here have been a reassuring constant through the absolutely batshit past 2 years of my life. So grateful for the sprinkles of fairy dust & laughs & comfort you guys give me each day. 💙
2. @earlgrey-lateatnight in general but also your always wonderful Young Royals fics! They’re so warm & soft & sexy and even though I (still! I know!) don’t go there, I’m so happy to go here and be able to read one of my favorite fic writers. 💜
3. The influx of Timmy content we’ve been blessed with lately. Seeing his beautiful face & pure heart and feeling the reassurance that good things happen to good people make me proud and happy and 🥺😍🤩.
4. The anticipation of watching Dune this weekend with my kiddo.
5. Tumblr. Yep. I said what I said. This hellsite has been far less hellish than real life for the past long while and a blessed escape and god help me but I love it here.
Only a few days left in November for more context free hot takes so let's do some fandom ones:
You're never going to agree with every single thing another person in your fandom says. Deal with it.
Making callouts over ships is fucking stupid and immature. Theyre fictional characters. Shut up.
The pro/anti ship nonsense is just that: nonsense. Its pointless and unnecessarily divisive.
Fanfic and fanart are literally the blood and bone of fandom. Show some respect to fan creators. Reblog, dont repost.
DLDR exists for a reason, and if you can't handle that, you need to remove yourself from the fandom environment.
YKINMKATOK - "your kink is not my kink and that's okay". Learn it, remember it, respect it. No one is forcing you to engage with things you dont like. No need for hostility. Click away and move on.
Some fans are creepy. Some fans are toxic. Learn the red flags and be vigilant about keeping those fans out of fandom spaces.
Death of the author doesn't mean shit when the work itself is full of the authors biases. (Looking at my fellow HP fans here, you dont get to ignore the bigotry in the books bc you've claimed death of the author, thats not how this works.)
A lot of you need to learn the difference between constructive criticism and destructive criticism.
Even more need to learn the difference between portraying something dark, glorifying it, and romanticising it. Those are three different sentiments and I'll thank you to learn what they all mean before spouting off baseless accusations.
Everyone over the age of 20 in fandom needs to stop using the line "But think of the children!" whenever you come across any piece of work that is anything less than the purest fluff. Just say YOU don't like it and move on.
Additionally, everyone UNDER the age of 20 in fandom needs to stop harassing older fans because you think they're "too old" to be there. Older fans gave us fandom spaces in the first place. Be quiet.
AO3 is actually an incredible resource, its non profit and is run entirely by fans, stop complaining about their crowdfunding.
It doesn't matter how much or how little you know about your specific fandom content. If you like the content, thats enough. People need to stop gatekeeping a fucking hobby.
Stop taking everything so seriously. Fandom is supposed to be fun. Let people have fun, damnit.
Okay that's all for now. I'll probably have more later.
Once again I'm happy to explain some of these in further detail if anyone wants to ask about it.
