For this project, I designed and baked signature cupcakes for the members of the Barbershop Quartet! Each cupcake had a cake flavor, frosting, and fruit compote filling that represented an aspect of their character. I had a ton of fun designing and baking these cakes, and I ended up with approximately 70 cupcakes! Link to a presentation with the recipe info in the reblog.
Iām claiming a bingo fill for each of the represented characters. Info below:

We made elderflower macarons tonight in honor of everyoneās favorite elf wizard and his delightful Candlenights treats. They were delicious, and we have decided that buttercream frosting with St. Germaineās might just be the most delicious icing weāve ever had.
We used this recipe and didnāt have to change anything. The instructions are nice and clear, and as long as you take the time to patiently follow each step, youāll end up with a pretty nice cookie!
My friend who loves to bake was at it again this weekend for our D&D session. The release of Beauty and the Beast made her wanted to make food themed from the movie.Ā āThe grey stuffā turned out more brown than she wanted, but it was delicious.Ā
Beef Ragou was interesting. Iām super picky, so it wasnāt exactly my cup of tea, but I ate most of what I dished out which is saying something! A little less black pepper, and I probably would have loved it.Ā
I donāt remember if baguette is mentioned by name in the song, but itās French. Also raspberry tart fitsĀ āpie and puddingā as well as french, so thereās that.Ā
Lastly, these Baked Apple Roses are AMAZING, and itās link to the movie should be obvious. The first image was before they got baked and had more red in them. These were legit awesome and delicious and wonderful.Ā
She has such awesome baking, I just have to share.Ā

Inspired by omgcheckplease (specifically, this being Jack Zimmermannās favorite pie)
Oven at 375ā
Prep time: 20-30 minutes
Bake time: 1 hour
Recipe under the cut:
Crust:
2 ½ cups of all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon nutmeg or pumpkin pie spice (I accidentally used one instead of the other once and theyāre both really good)
½ cup shortening
¼ cup butter, cut into small cubes
½ - ā cup cold water
Filling:
3 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
¼ cup of sugar
1 tablespoon of flour
½ teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1- 21 oz can of apple pie filling (or substitute this for double everything above)
¼ cup maple syrup (real works best, but any will do)
Topping:
You can buy maple sugar, but I always make my own out of convenience.
Mix together white sugar and maple syrup (start with ¼ or ½ cup of sugar and a few tablespoons of maple syrup; adjust until desired consistency) until itās combined but still crumbly (you donāt want to create a different syrup here).
To Make Crust:
Toss together dry ingredients until combined. Add shortening and butter. Begin mixing gently with a spoon and continue in one of two ways: 1) if you have a pastry cutter, use it to cut the fats into the flour until the mixture looks small (pea-sized or smaller) and crumbly or 2) use your hands to crumble the fats throughout the flour until it looks small and crumbly (this is the method I use and I like how my crust turns out a lot, but the original recipe I tweaked called for the pastry cutter). Grab a fork and the cold water; add the water in a splash at a time and combine with the fork, attempting to add water only to areas that are still dry. Add water until everything looks damp, but still separated. Form mixture into a ball and refrigerate until ready to use. Once ready to use, separate crust in half. Roll out crust until itās about a ½ inch to an inch wider than the pie dish. Fold into quarters and transfer to pie dish, unfolding and centering in the dish. Set aside. Roll second half of crust into a similar circle. Either cut into strips for a lattice, or leave intact for a full top-crust (donāt forget slits or holes for venting).
To Make Filling and Assemble Pie:
Toss fresh apples in flour, sugar, and spices. Let sit for at least ten minutes (up to 30). Add maple syrup and canned filling; toss together. Spoon into bottom pie crust. Sprinkle with a little extra cinnamon. Top with lattice or full crust. Sprinkle with maple sugar, but donāt coat (the amount you use is up to taste, honestly). Pop in the oven for an hour - FYI; this crust wonāt get super browned, and may in fact not look done, but it will be.
Serve with ice cream, whipped cream, or just by itself and prepare for a heavenly sweet slice of Zimbits.
does stress baking three pies while avoiding homework constitute a Bitty cosplay? yāall i was so in character, that bottom right pie is a maple sugar crusted apple, which is, as we all know, Jackās favorite pie.
(the other oneās are just pumpkin and a caramel-apple pie)
This is our Mia and Me bake! Mia and Me is a childrenās show inspired by the paintings of Gustav Klimt. The show revolves around a young girl, Mia, who is able to travel into the magical world of Centopia, a land populated by fairies, unicorns, and other magical creatures.
We made multi-colored cupcakes with vanilla frosting.
Bonus, because I had a really hard time drawing Phuddleās symbol:
