because WHAT do you mean you can’t flex your status as general of the minutemen. i know it would mean absolutely nothing if you’re just beginning but imagine the power that would hold if you’ve built the minutemen from the ground up and had artillery all across the commonwealth.
like, talking to Maxson. ESPECIALLY MAXSON. maybe he asked you to take over a settlement from the minutemen, unaware of your status.
you look that motherfucker in the eye and you say “I am the general of the Minutemen. You are on land that I have sworn to protect with my life. If you so much as speak of harming any of my people, you and your army will. burn. do you understand? no one will be able to save you from my hand.”
it could depend entirely on how many settlements you have and how many artillery canons you have.
have less than the five required to actually take down the Prydwen, he laughs in your face.
have the five required, he seems uneasy, but dismisses you.
have more than five? He takes you seriously and any radiant quests that allow you to take over a settlement for the brotherhood are unavailable.
maybe you have an excessive amount? he takes that as an active threat. gives you time to escape while he plots to attack.

I don’t care what anyone says, the T-51 power armor is the best in the series (though the T-45 comes close).
It’s iconic and holds onto some of that 60s retro futurism design that Bethesda has forgotten about.
It’s incredibly bulky while having a very sleek design. It makes use of rounded shapes, very much in line with science fiction designs of the 60s.
It looks kinda goofy and impractical while still having grounded elements (much like the Fallout series itself)
Genuinely peak design here.
