@farbsturz, these flashbacks and the following page heavily imply that at some point post resurrection and pre Robin: Son of Batman Ra’s had Damian abducted in his civilian persona and killed him to make a point. One of the things all the professional reviewers have pointed out about this series is how detailed and integral the coloring is to the story. Damian’s eyes in this scene is a perfect example: if you look closely his eyes are Wayne blue and reflecting the light of the Pit, the rest of the page and the next have him with the same eyes as Bruce with little shadows of Lazarus green whereas the previous issue his eyes are a vivid green. As everyone knows, one way to tell if someone has gone into the Pits and is under their control is green eyes, and attentive fans have noticed that Damian's eyes are still blue in scenes of other comics (Nightwing, Supersons, Superman, Batman, Metal and its tie ins, Robin War and its tie ins, Robin: Son of Batman) where he's acting like a Wayne or Dick and green if his actions are al Ghulish. If you go back and read the previous issues and examine Bruce's eyes in light of the fact dropped on the last page of this issue, you'll realize his eye coloring is as important as Damian's. I'm not sure if that's true in all the comics, but it is for this particular story.

Orlando hasn’t outright stated that Ra’s kidnapped and murdered Damian yet, but given the massive bombshell of the last page, I am going to say that it’s a given in light of Damian’s small panic attack earlier in this issue and the legitimate fear of Ra's that Damian has been drawn showing over in Teen Titans.<\p>
