Ya know i just thought of something funny regarding the Anons and The Shadow Lorewise to your story XD
like I just keep thinking about it where The Shadow kinda just, ya know, let the Anons in as a way of giving the survivors false hope, but when the Anons began to get annoying by helping the survivors, and it tried to get rid of them, it kinda just found it.....ya know.....CAN'T?
Like bro let in enities, that are either multiplying or a hivemind, it knew NOTHING about, like it doesn't know if their other Eldritch or something worse, and I can just kinda see The Shadow freaking TF out during the main story cause it doesn't know wtf to do now XD
That does sound like something The Shadow would do lmao!
I'm making this canon!
A mysterious podcast is heard throughout the city. A shadowed figure in a black slouch hat and cloak tells true crime stories to avid listeners. No one knows who this stygian narrator is in reality. No one knows how he uncovers the gruesome details that he puts into his stories. No one knows why it is that many of the stories end with the criminals giving themselves up after a mental breakdown, or why all the others end with the criminals found dead.
Who knows this phantom podcasterβs identity?
Who knows his connection to the white-hat hacker, Burbank?
Who knows why ordinary people, unconnected to the police or the government, keep finding themselves involved in these dangerous cases?
Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?
The Shadow Knows!
For no reason at all the Hidden Death reprint features Paul Orban art even though Orban wasn't commissioned for the magazine until the 40s.
EARLY Lovell typically uses crosshatching and solid blocks for shading. Orban also does, but he appears to use maybe charcoal / light pencil for shading. I'm not a traditional artist, so I'm not sure. This is a scan of a scan as well, so it probably looks way different in the og magazine.
I guess yeah The Shadow looks different there's that too.
why did they do this?
