Those familiar with my blog know I like Eric Jacobus...a lot. The dude deserves to be at the forefront of action cinema. He seems to be doing great things in the mocap arena (he was Kratos in God of War) but Iām sure thereās a lot more out there for him. Anyway, hereās his 2018 showreel. It really shows what heās capable of. Well...I suppose thatās what a showreel is meant to do. Anyway, you get my point.

Hereās the big new project from stuntman supreme (and mo-cap dude for Kratos inĀ āGod of Warā), Eric Jacobus. If you didnāt know, this is the sequel to his originalĀ āBlindsidedā short film. Although, this starts with the original twelve minute film.
Lots of Zatoichi style stuff if thatās your cup of tea. Me? I didnāt enjoy this at all. Iām not saying others wonāt. I just found the plot very standard the fight scenes nowhere near what Jacobus has done in the past.
Anyway...give it a go. See what you think.
If you donāt know Eric Jacobus by now, you should. Especially since he just mo-capped Kratos in the newest God of War game. but you really shouldāve known him before now since heās been one of the hardest working stunt men/martial artists on You Tube for a while. Heās put out a load of short films but he was particularly proud of his portrayal of a kick ass blind man in the recentĀ āBlind Sided.ā You can watch it here. to be honest, I wasnāt a big fan of it and found it to be one of Jacobusā weaker efforts (check out Rope A Dope for some truly magic shit). However, Iāll certainly watch the upcoming sequel due for release on May 17th because, quite frankly, even Jacobusā weaker shit is better than 90% of todayās action.
