Actually taking the time to chill and trying to stay off my phone means I’m getting through books at a rate only topped by 13 year old me. This one did make me cry in the literal cafe but thankfully I have a supportive (if mildly confused and concerned) gf :)

Just rediscovered this tumblr after starting my PhD, 3 years on from when I started this blog in my first year of uni. It’s honestly insane to realise that I’ve actually come this far, but also please prepare for this place to become far more unhinged because progress rn is fuelled by denial and caffeine rather than highlighters and bujos 😭
This book takes the found family trope and twists it so hard you feel it in your gut. And yet after reading A Thousand Splendid Suns, it somehow felt gentle?? So basically I have spent my last few days sobbing, raging, staring at the wall

April study challenge day 5! Handwritten or typed notes? Handwritten all the way! I find it so much easier to get all of my thoughts on the subject in an arrangement that’s best for me on paper. Also I read somewhere that because you’re writing, it improves your memory of the subject as it’s also being embedded into your muscle memory?

more german today! i started writing out all of the grammar we need to know to help me memorise it and i’ve typed the list of verbs onto quizlet to learn later. i really love the new arc notebooks i got for each of my a-level subjects and my new planner is so cute!!
