incase anyone is wondering how we’re doing for education here in the uk, one of the major exam boards is being accused of ‘woke social engineering’ for including the word bisexual in a French listening exam. so
three breakdowns this weekend alone about my gcses. am i cooked...
Live footage of me leaving the scene after the shit-show that was my history exam:
Every day that I do maths I am taken aback by the weirdness of some of these questions, because what even is this scenario????
Why am I now picturing a support group of 10 couples all desperate for a daughter, so they get together to calculate probabilities (as one does) and construct an elaborate plan, where they decide the best thing to do is just...keep popping out babies until it's a girl.
Because that's totally logical human behaviour
I swear to god if I open my exam paper and get a question like this I will be utterly bamboozled

Most random thing I’ve asked on Tumblr (probably not but I can’t be bothered to look back through the annals of me), but has anyone else sat Edexcel A-level maths? And if you have…can you please tell me how the Statistics and Mechanics paper works? Cause…they have two separate papers…listed as two separate exams…but mechanics starts right as statistics ends, so…do they give you both papers from the get-go, or give you the mechanics paper when the stats one is finished, but I don’t think that would work, cause…my exam centre has to go through a huge, time-consuming palaver to put out all the papers. Neither idea makes sense to me and even though I sit the paper in a week and I’ll find out, I’d really like to know in advance so I can study rather than fixate on logistics.
“herbert pocket isn’t real he can’t hurt you!!” said the mf english department. “he’s not relevant!! he would never come up!!”
he came up.
