So this was a discussion I had with my sister because she is currently writing a story and building the world in minecraft. Her story has a main cast of OCs but the world itself is a mixture of Youtubers, Youtube characters(egos), and OCs.

I brought up the fact with her that in most fanfictions I read, shipping or otherwise, some Youtubers are portrayed as more mature than others. In her story they are all a bunch of chuckleheads with some shared braincells.

Some Youtubers we compared were:

Natewantstobattle vs. Matpat

Majority rules Matt more mature, despite his own childish behavior. We both agreed with this since Nate has a tendency to be a bit more of a wild child. Not to say Nate doesn’t have his mature moments, he owns a record label.

Stephanie Patrick vs Matthew Patrick

They are both in touch with their youth but majority sides with Steph. Again, we agreed. Just watch any GTLive. Not too much to say on this front

Any Youtuber GF/Wife vs. Their Boyfriend/Husband

Majority rules in GF/Wife’s favor. We agree with this trope to the point of it being a common trope in the story. 

Amy>Mark, Gab>Sean, Marzia>Felix, Ro>Mike, Suzy>Arin, etc

Jacksepticeye vs. Markiplier

Majority rules Mark more mature, I would assume due to age.Both have moments of immaturity and maturity, while still holding true to themselves. 

For me its a bit of a toss up but my sister(who has watched them longer) agrees. Her reasoning is Mark does more serious content than Sean. 

Markiplier vs. Matpat

As with most Youtubers pitted against Matt, majority goes in his favor. We agreed with this as well. Matt being a nerd and his main channels being educational, tend to cause this sway. Not to say Mark isn’t intelligent(he was almost an engineer), he just has more of a tendency to be wild on camera.

Jacksepticeye vs. Natewantstobattle

For these two it can be a bit of a mixed bag when comparing the two. Some make Nate more mature due to age, while others make Sean more mature due to content behavior. We definitely lean more towards Sean being more mature on this.

Arin Hanson vs. Danny Avidan

While both Grumps have their moments of nonsense and clarity. Majority rules towards Dan more than Arin. Mostly due to age and Dan’s more chill demeanor. They both like to liven things up for the camera or recording but Arin has more of a tendency to take things to the extreme. We agree with this.

Feel free to do your own comparisons and opinions! The Jack vs. Mark one has been bouncing around my head for ages, I can’t decide! 

This was originally gonna stop with Matt vs. Nate, and Jack vs. Mark. It also extends to stuff like Madpat vs. Natemare or Darkpiler vs. Antisepticeye. Anti vs. Mare being a big reason for the split in Nate vs. Jack.
