This Roasted Tomato and Egg Grilled Cheese Sandwich combines the richness of melted cheddar cheese with the flavor of roasted tomatoes and a perfectly cooked egg. It's a delicious and satisfying meal that's perfect for breakfast, brunch, or any time of the day.
Ingredients: 2 slices of bread. 2 slices of cheddar cheese. 1/2 cup roasted tomato slices. 1 egg. 1 tablespoon butter. Salt and pepper to taste. Optional: fresh basil leaves for garnish.
Instructions: Put the pan on medium heat and melt the butter. Put the egg in the pan and cook it until it's the way you like it sunny-side-up or over-easy, for example. Add pepper and salt. Take the egg out of the pan and set it aside. On each piece of bread, put a slice of cheddar cheese. Place slices of roasted tomato on top of one slice of cheese-covered bread. Put the tomato-filled egg on top of them. Place the last piece of cheese-covered bread on top, cheese side down. Put the sandwich back in the pan and cook for another two to three minutes on each side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese melts. Take the sandwich out of the pan and let it cool for one minute. Then cut it in half. If you want, you can add fresh basil leaves as a garnish. Enjoy while hot!
