Miranda Priestly ( The devil wears Prada 😈)

There are a number of ways one can interpret this title. But the popular and probably the best way one can understand is a devil concealed in a cloak of Prestige and refinement.

Miranda Priestley is the editor-in-chief for Runway magazine. A place where people eat and breathe fashion. Miranda is someone who no one messes with. A woman with power and position, she is the person 'a million girls would kill for' to work with. The way Miranda treats her new assistant right from the beginning leaves you thinking that she's the devil of the story.

In an encounter where Andy(assistant) Ridicules Miranda's concern for the right colour choice for a belt, we see how Miranda perfectly differentiates between the shades of blue and add life and meaning to the world of fashion. This instance makes us think how prickly her attitude is, however you cannot deny the fact that she's strong-headed, pragmatic and a no nonsense person.

When Andy witnesses Miranda having an argument with her husband, she wasn't prepared to let outsiders witness her in a ruined marriage and deploys nearly impossible tasks on Andy, but what's fascinating is instead of being irritated at Andy for performing so well, she's pleased with her. This instance indicates the level of maturity and reverence towards an ambitious person

Further in the movie one can witness, as to how Miranda screwed the people who plotted against her, to save herself and her position.

Miranda is a woman driven with ambition. She is the one who bought Runway to its current high status. On the outside she is quiet rude and may seem like a malevolent person. But when you see beneath the layers, all you find is a woman struggling to find a balance between her professional and personal life. You can see a woman, facing the adversities of marriage and doing everything in her power to make a secure living for herself and her daughter's. Miranda isn't a devil nor is she an angel.

The truth is she's both, and so is everyone in this world.
