In addition it is packed with micronutrients like B12, folate, iron and vitamin E and vitamin D. The links between whole unprocessed meat and heart disease and cancer have not been proven and meat consumption does NOT cause obesity or diabetes. We've abandoned meat in favour of lower calorie and lower nutrient starchy and processed carbs to the detriment of our health.
