The moon vs the lighting strike
1) Purely c!, dramatization of Pearl's death from Jimmy's POV, My own interpretation of things y'all
.
.
.
If he continued to be alone, so high off the ground, he would have run and ran until a silver arrow pierced his heart and claimed his life.
If he had been alone, so far from the ground, he might have fallen like he has done so many times before, with the moon staring down at him as he crumbled to the ground.
But he wasn't alone, his knight came to make him company, to keep him safe while they stood on a dirty, dangerous platform, so high up in the sky. And with the comforting warmth of the wild shot next to him, he stopped in his tracks. He stopped, he stood up, and faced the moon.
And he saw it, for a split second, he saw the moonlight reflect on the tip of the silver arrow. He stopped, he pulled out his bow.
His arrows were plain, his bow was as basic as you could find, worn and torn. But he didn't flinch when he shot, one, two, three shots to an invisible figure he couldn't recognize.
But when he saw blood flow, and the lightning struck the ground, the light reflected on his face, and his eyes widened for a second.
His knight was now hugging him and spinning him around, so completely proud, but he couldn't help but stare at the moon shining in the dark sky, dumbfounded, his heart beating like crazy in his chest.
And he swore he saw it shine red for a second before the sky started to cloud.
But he couldn't stare at it for longer, because his knight was already pulling him towards their base, towards *home.* And Jimmy, as he heard the screams of joy and glee from his other teammates, another pair of arms surrounding him, couldn't stop smiling.
And he felt the noose around his neck untighten just a little more as he laughed away.

Drama on 4: Pride and Prejudice, episode one Saturday 13 December 3.15pm - 4.15pm
Radio 4 celebrates 250 years of Jane Austen with fresh, funny, and female-focused adaptations of Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility. Expect heartbreak, love, hilarity, and the enduring power of sisterhood.
Both dramas are narrated by Tamsin Grieg as Austen herself. Pride and Prejudice is the iconic love story between Elizabeth Bennet and Mr Darcy, and a delightful portrayal of a family. It perfectly conjures up the period, and the pressure on women to find husbands. It’s a tapestry of unforgettable characters and wonderfully funny.
Pride and Prejudice stars Tamsin Grieg (Friday Night Dinner, Green Wing and Episodes) as narrator Jane Austen; Isabella Laughland (The Road Trip) as Elizabeth Bennet; Luke Thompson (Bridgerton and A Little Life); Miles Jupp (Rev, The Durrells) as Mr Bennet; Rosie Cavaliero as Mrs Bennet (Power of Parker); Lucy Doyle as Jane (The Mousetrap) Louis Landau as Mr Bingley (Butterfly, Rivals); Toby Regbo as Mr Wickham (Outrageous); Adjoa Andoh as Lady Catherine (Bridgerton); Kitty O’Sullivan as Lydia (Our Man in Havana); and Gaia Wise as Kitty (Dead of Winter.)
New programmes explore the life, legacy, and literary brilliance of one of Britain’s most beloved authors

========================================
It was very enjoyable listening to the Pride and Prejudice dramatization back on December 13th & 14th with the talented cast.🗣️📖🎭👏
If anyone that's new to the Murderbot Dairies after seeing the TV show (or lurking due general rise in franchise being known) and plans on checking out the books - I highly recommend the audio drama / dramatization version of the audiobooks.
I have physical books both in English and Polish editions and still my go-to for re-reads of the series is that English dramatization because it's so well done and vivid.
