Its fine >w< Dan is a separate plot line idea I have. (whether it works out is wishy washy) Where he escapes imprisonment from Clockwork's tower after a year of Danny being stuck in Dante's world. Dante just left for another big thing- Danny happily wishes him and everyone off. He got a couple days before Nero comes to pick him up. He's finally settled in- and realizes guiltily just a weebit how happy he is here. Its nice to just be side guy- he still gets to do stuff but he also can be confident in others to handle things. But Danny receives a call after they left- he answers it doing the whole Devil May Cry store front bit- leave message etc- (cause he's basically a receptionist most of the time XD and works on local cases or with nero or dante when they're there) Anywho that's when he gets attacked by Dan, gauntlets to rip his two halves apart. Leaving Danny's body alive but an unresponsive husk, and using his other half to do his bidding. Nero finds him and the place in ruins. Him and Kiriye take most of the responsibility of taking care of the body while all of them hunt down what happen. Vergil actually one to find him- and for once has Dante come too- though they all go they leave at different points. Vergil- then Dante- then Nero whose literally carrying dead weight (danny) though refuses to say it. But yess, once more information is known I can see Dante being even more furious then he is to begin with. Fight is so personal- but they have to be careful because he's basically using a phantom shield (danny's half) to keep them busy. but that's not all thought out through XD and may change. But Danny becomes more "alive" the closer he is to his half- even helping protect nero (who only needs it because he's carrying danny on his back (Nero and Danny best brothers/cousins XD especially after this.)) There is some neat parallels- I'm sure if I sat down and write I can flesh some out- or other ideas, have to scrap some prob. But either way Dante is hurt through out the whole storyline. This also when the Fentons and team phantom come in too- because they followed Dan's path. Vergil for once keeping Dante grounded (in his vergil way). Nero stuck with danny watching shit basically fall apart- as everyone is in on this. Then Danny asks to be impaled into his phantom half in order to absorb into himself (being close enough to his half he can speak) lots of things happen, Danny rip Dan in half and absorbs dan part- letting the other demon half get vanquish (using same gauntlets) then it being too much having to rip himself again. To keep from going insane and thus creating a stable dan. Or something similar chain of events. Which does lead to the dimensional rifts collapsing. Fentons who were fighting the ghost side, falling back. Danny having to make tough decision which leads to Dan taking his place back in Amity. Which brings up the whole Dante confronts him later, they hug bit from last. LONG WINDED SORRY- um but yeah basically it does bring up trauma for Dante. Dante has a rough ride in this. He finally accepted having a kid- kid becomes pretty much comatose (though danny does remember every conversation and HAPPILY or unhappily mentions it) Then have to fight a version of his kid- who is pretty much full demon like Vergil was. His emotions actually harming him so bad in the fight VERGIL has to call him out. ...Then he's worried about Danny cause he did remove some of his humanity but this time to help the demon they been fighting. Also makes him solidify that danny is kid- his kid. Strong, kind, and reckless. XD So in this plotline Dante is going through it all. they all are in a way- Vergil somehow being stronghold XD just by not being as emotional in all this. He just offended by audacity of Dan- So it shows his growth to. Nero and Danny become closer too- Danny making sure Nero gets his "day off" fighting any demons that pop up while nero has a date night. one he joked about Danny owing him big when he was comatose.
