Suffice to say, I am horrible at motivating myself, sometimes.   I offer you my sincerest apologies. Now, back to Dave being terrified at the prospect of his brother being decapitated by a mad clown.

Is he meaning to success that their new universe looks like a rainbow inverse of the black hole, occupying a quasi-tempero-spatial opposite side of the Green Sun Black Hole’s event horizon?   Or is this metaphorical, referencing the fact that it is a sort of “opposite side of the coin” (which itself would be at least half-way literal, but doesn’t have to be) to the destruction to be seen in the inevitably DOOMED end that Paradox Space is and has been infinitely trailing toward in the canon? [Not that I think events outside of canon are entirely safe from the long-term effects of the Black Hole, and all causal links to events surrounding it. To deny the connections would be to suggest the invalidity of the Meat path.]

See, this is interesting.  It strikes me that there are three (obvious) possible interpretations: He is referring to the all-encompassing will of Lord English, suggesting that he believes in him and his plan despite the apparent demise that the events of the Meat Epilogue suggest his journey was always going to lead toward. After all: supposed Double Death does not necessarily mean defeat.  He was indeed successful in contorting much of reality to his will, and was equally responsible with his Alternate Sister for carving out the contours of Canon as his paradise and prison. He could be referring to the story of Homestuck, generally, and the idea that the totality of their existence as literary ideas raises them above their apparently shackled lot as fictional characters. He could be buying into Dirk’s “I Shall Become [the new] God” plan, even (in this version of events) he has failed to achieve that aim, ironically. The different possibilities are very interesting! Apologies in advance if I have to cut this off awkwardly. I don’t know how much time I have left, this morning.
